He also says he's the same age as KW. Isn't Nerd my age?48.
And I can't say that I even KNOW of anyone who says,let alone believes that "You are only as good as your last race".
Also,James being the "Fastest at A1". While true.........seriously. How MUCH faster than than two other guys? A non issue when it's that small of a figure.
So,who wrote this article? Really.
Well done. I'll be a regular reader.
BTW, Stewart was 6/10th of a sec faster every lap for 5 laps after passing Canard. Pretty significant difference in anyone's mind.
My only comment is, how long do you think that patience will last if he still isn't winning after next weekend? Or if by the half way point he doesn't have a comfortable points lead, will he still be patient coming through the pack or trying to make a pass?
Pit Row
Reading this part of Nerd's story;
"I'm speaking as a guy who has had my share of differences with Stewart. He is the most difficult racer in the pits to work with as a journalist and photographer, and his entourage many times creates a nearly impervious force field if I or many other journalists want to talk to him"
It made me think about that Jimmy Lewis piece the other day and wonder.
However, the competition at A1 is always deep and usually produces an unexpected result. Carmichael himself never won the thing. It's more of an outlier than any other.
Though I hope otherwise, I'm sure it will be business as usual later in the season...if we're lucky we'll still have two guys battling.
That being said, JS riding was impressive. It usually is. He's got something for the competition, and despite those 5 laps, they've got something for him too. Gonna be an exciting season, don't you agree?
