Jett will just be back from injury and Deegan is really firing so far and I’m sure he’ll be ready to make a statement.

No
Possible, but after how Jett came back from his knee injury and dominated last season..I am not placing a bet on Deegan winning..
If he's as good as he says he is, he should.
No chance, if he pulls that BS like he does in the 250 class, that aggression will bite him. The top vets will punt him. I guarantee he pulls his BS with JL, HL, Prado, Malcom, JB, Hampshire, hell even Eli. But No he can’t beat Jett, but guaranteed he will FK with JL then HL will blast him.

Pretty sure Pala is statistically Jett's best track. I wouldn't bet on Deegs beating him there in his first 450 race. If so, then all credit to him though.
Deegan beat Jett round 1? Maybe. No way he’s beating Kevin Sherman though
Doubt it. Everyone of those guys is gonna be ready to die not to get beat. 7-6 for seventh overall is my prediction. Overall win before summers end, top 5 if he misses no rounds. Next winter? Sheesh. Win Daytona, have a learning year ala rc in 99. If he wins even one regular sx main in his career ill be impressed. If he wins one his first year? Championship before careers over. He definitely has the heart. And seems to not get too munched when he crashes. Ill admit his style reminds me most of rc. Which bodes well for his future. As long as he doesn't let the first year or two ruin his confidence and he keeps improving( he had at every level) he should be a handful for his competitors. Jett and Hunter are gonna terrorize him psychologically at first. The key, is to be humble and create no enemy's on track until he is established imho. He certainly looks to have his fitness where it needs to be esp. The last 2 years
That's why they run the races!
He'll race them when it's time...
If he wins the title outdoors like jett did, by even one point-he will have a all time career up there with the top ten ever. In case no one realizes, he lives to impress his dad(which is awesome.) Talk about driven despite being raised in an affluent family. He has already surpassed his dad's wildest expectations i bet, but Brian plays it cool and acts like it was expected. Brian would've been happy if he won 2 sx mains , lol. He doesn't let that show tho
Realistically no but after the freak show ride on Saturday it’s possible Jett won’t have anything for deegan
Most these guys need the money, Deegs was set for life before he ever went pro and knew it. That determination, despite having plenty of money, is what makes him special. He could have been Evan Ferry
Who is also obviously a great rider but different than Haiden mentally. Talent is one thing. Being sick in the head for winning is another.
You guys are about to learn just how good Jett Lawrence is.
Soon as he went 22-0 its been clear what it is. Some guys burn real bright when they are 20 and are over it by 25. Jett is obviously very sick in the head for winning also. His brother roughed him up on track for years, it shows. He jdgaf who it is he has to beat, and I happen to think he gets sick thrills(and revenge) on his brother every chance he gets. We all would do the same. His brother did it on purpose, and Both Hunter and his Dad predicted that Jett was exactly what he is. The fastest. Hunter probably can't wait to show his new form on track to his brother after being beat on the 450 so many times. 😁 the next 3-5 years is gonna be epic. Honda sure looks brilliant rn
I wont say he wont beat Hunter first round as Hunter might have the sx championship hangover at Pala. But once that's gone, Deegz wont be beating either Lawrence. The way Hunter is riding in sx and he's much stronger outdoors, lots of Lawrence beatdowns this summer. I'm not saying at all Deegz isn't gonna be strong rider this summer. The Lawrence's are just superior, thats all there is to it
Imagine AMA sticks to giving points for Deegan for making his own track like how he normally does outdoors. If that were to happen he doesn’t even beat everyone in the top 10.
1 of them is literally undefeated at Pala. Including "off the couch" last year.
Even though they have had much success at the first round, no.
Pit Row
Deegan has 5-6 (if not more) other fast riders to contend with, to say he only needs to beat Jett gives little respect to the others who will be quick
Wrong #
I think there's about 4-5 other guys that Deegan needs to worry about before Jett even enters the picture.
And Deegan will pass them on his way to passing Jett for the win.
Jett 1-1.
battles for 2nd and 3rd will be great though.
Yes. And the cope here is comical. This forum has been writing Deegs off to the point of absurdity for his entire career, and the dude is literally about to wrap up a 250 career that is superior to Jett’s. Guys here are in for a really rude awakening. I would suggest accepting at least the smallest dose of reality so that your minds don’t melt when Deegs does defeat Jett and looks good doing it. At least admit that he is very likely to give Jett a challenge this summer. For God’s sake.
comparing one rider to another when they are not facing each other is a waste of time and pure speculation
Right now, the only thing we can legitimately use to compare the two – until they actually race each other – is their respective first races on a 450, and Jett had the better showing...
Jett: 1/2 for 1st overall in Open at des Nations in '22
Deegan: 4/6/3 for 3rd OA at Buenos Aires WSX in '25
I would love to believe that we're in for some battle royale between the two but I can't see Deegan beating Hunter, Eli or Chase (depending on whatever the fuck is happening with him and Kawasaki) Edit to say that I will actually be stoked if it does become a battle royale even though I think he's a tool it'll make it fun if he's all in the mix haha
I'll throw another Edit in cause I forgot to mention Prado.. That could get spicy too haha
I do wonder though with Jo's first great ride on a 450 at des Nations and Vialle looking incredible on one does it add pressure (To Deegan) or alleviate it?
If Jett is close to 100% no. Otherwise I can see him win pala
First Deegan has to get into top ten. We will see if/ how he races the rest of 450’s then we might have an idea of how he is comparing to the top 5 (?) in the class. Also need to remember he is not immune to injury as 450’s have the potential to derail a career.
I have no idea but how have other 250 class winners done in the past, say their 1st, 2nd, 3rd years.
