Does anyone understand what Tomac is saying? He doesn’t like it when a privateer can hold him off, so he wants their bikes to be much less trick and not as good as a factory riders bike? So he can pass them easier?
You just roll in from stupid town? Come on man, use your brain.
The only ones not using their brain is you and probably Slo-mac. Too slow to pass Friese now. His new Douchemode isn’t anything like Beastmode used to be
I don’t really see what Eli’s getting at here either?

Someone idk who says lappers wouldn't be a problem if equipment was more equal. He says it really doesn't matter in 450 class you can be good on anything but also that they should be unlimited anyway.
“but I gueentee will will know exactly who's the best racers are.“
Pretty positive we already know that. The rider is what 85 to 95% of the equation so the bike is not going to make any difference. Sexton surely has proved the KTM was his problem, a piece of shit, not rideable…Right up until Tomac got on it. I’m no expert but I’d would venture to say if the top 10 in points rotated manufacturers, within 3 months the standings would pretty much look the same.
Wisconsin is East?
He's saying that the 450 class, which is supposed to be the premier class, ends up with a whole bunch of super slow riders because its more appealing for them to be in the that class, because to compete in the 250s you need spend a shitload of $$$ to be competitive. you dont need to spend as much on the bike and its less work in the 450 class. If the premier class was true works bikes, you would actually have all of the fast guys, and only the fast guys. A privateer wouldnt be able to compete because of cost.
Weird thing to nitpick in that comment, all that really matters is that time change wise he was "east" of me by a few hours...
It sure as fuck ain't west. I didnt mean it to be geographically correct, sorry.
Just do better, man.🙃
How many riders would the factory teams field if a "works" bike costs $250k or more?
How many of "semi" factory or satellite teams will close up shop due to cost?
Works bikes would definitely eliminate the lapper problem...there'll only be 7 bikes on the gate.🙃
Yea that’s what I thought, it was phrased strangely. So in this hypothetical do we introduce a production rule for 250’s? Or just make both classes unattainable for anyone without a factory ride? The sport needs the privateers somewhere..
This is Vitalmx. We can banter about anything 🤣
I'm not sure this is true. If money were no issue, what would they even be doing that they aren't already doing? And would those changes make a drastic difference? Can anyone tell the difference between tomac or Jett's bike and the works bikes at mxon? They can already add to frame. Only thing really missing is taking material off of the frame and changing swingarm length, right? I'm not convinced the production limits are much of an issue but I may be missing something?
Different era but in the 80’s Honda had 6-10 full factory riders in works bikes. Star would not change much either likely. Honda would probably invest more and more engineering opportunities.
Different economic times brother. Spending millions on high zoot trickery doesn't pay what it used to.
I haven't jumped in because I don't want to rag on somebody for his grammar - I only remind professional journalists (gently, if I can,) when they use poor grammar. I've also steered clear of these lapper threads because I have what seems to be an unpopular opinion - that lappers are part of the sport and the leaders should just get over it - and I don't want to get hammered. 😆
Lol. Ditto!😉
Pit Row
Well, it hasn't been converted into an actual report yet, but I believe that is what Tomac is getting at, yes. Production rule (of some kind to limit expense) in the 250's, Do what ever you want in the 450's.
That is my understanding. And really the only way to make it make sense. lol.
You get hammered for your opinion, they get hammered on grammar. lol. seems like a fair trade.
For the record, I don't really have an opinion on the subject. There is good points on both sides. Lappers ruin things sometimes, and sometimes they make it more exciting. I can agree that it is (and has been) definitely part of the sport up until now.
Wish I could have seen what the outcome would have been without Tomac's "oh shit" moment, but watching some people (coop especially) use the lappers is pretty cool to watch as well imo.
That is a very good point...
Alright , will put this stupid post to bed. Sorry guys . From now on I will run anything I post by my second grade teacher to make sure, first I have no spelling mistakes., and second so everyone who reads it can understand it. I really don't won't want to exclude anyone
