In 2011 he had both Ryan’s handled in their prime until the Chadapault.. was a bummer that he never recovered from that.

I'd argue no one had #1 covered except Suzuki... they wrecked his season.

Yes! Reed was handling the Ryan's! The best riding of Reed's mx career. Dunge smashing everyone by 30sec at Freestone and running out of gas. The Chadapult. Dunge's epic ride that same moto running down RV from about 8sec back. The insane 1st moto back at Steel City where the Ryan's battled the whole moto and RV passed him the last corner. Dunge's 2nd moto at Southwick in the Hurricane almost a lap down. RV got on the '12 Kawi at Dilla and put it together to win the title. Amazing season

Not the Chadapult. It was that he remounted at all, and then immediately doubled.

Herlings broke his shoulderblade in Oss, with Monticelli jumping on him on lap 1. He still won that moto but was out for moto 2 and Loket. Febvre and Gajser put on a clinic the remaining races. Herlings came back, I think at Lommel, and started chipping away the points lead race by race. Then it came to a triple header at Arco di Trento and two races at Mantova. Some insane moto's, Herlings crashed out at one of the Arco di Trento races due to a startcrash. Final races it was a championship on the line for Gajser, Febvre and Herlings. Gajser had a few misfortunes, so final moto it was between Febvre and Herlings. Herlings won that moto and was the world champion

Let’s not forget Febvre & Herlings were on the exactly the same points starting that last moto.

Honestly “the great outdoors”, every season they captured seemed like the most bad ass. KW coming back and then I believe checked out at Hangtown? Landed into the concrete barrier? Those dvds were so bad ass. I think I know what I’m going to catch up on this weekend.

1999 250s were pretty good I think there were 7 winners or something, but the coverage hurt the “edge of your seat” feeling.

07 was pretty epic in both classes. Stew and RC absolutely battling to the death, then RV and Townley doing it in the small bike class. I think red bud was live on Speed that year.

I know its hard to compare because 250's got better and all that, but of all the nationals I've been to, not sure if anyone has gone faster than those guys did that season.

Just listening to those carb’d 250s sounds faster

2007 "MX Lites" season with RV and Townley was awesome.
2013 250MX was good with Baggett, Roczen and Tomac trading wins all season.
2022 450MX was insane.

Also, 2000 125MX Season. Pastrana just throwing it down all summer, and capping it off with a Lazy boy off the back double after he won the title.

Nothing comes close to 2006 Carmichael and Bubba

Also enjoyed the years when Baggett was on fire with his charges in the 250 class

Best race from that season.

How fucking insane is it that the inbred ama didn’t red flag that race? The points leader gets FUCKED by a malfunction of the gate and they just let it go…

I personally really enjoyed 2023 when Jett went 22-0. Even though Jett ran the show most of the time, it got more exciting towards the end of the season to see if he would be able to withhold the immense pressure on his back to win literally everything.

2007 250s. Seemed like RV and Townley swapped motos every race, and kept me on the edge of my seat every week.

For the most part, RC dominated the 2006 Nationals. Kdub finished a distant second and James ended up 4th overall.

Maybe it was 2007 I was thinking then, when bubba jumped on rc back and rc lapped 2nd place

Bubba jumped on RC in 05 at Unadilla and Millville 06 RC lapped the field.

Now that's how you call a race!

Fro and Weege were on point!

The first 4 races of 2015 before Tomac blew out his shoulders.

I enjoyed 2023 as well. Jett was a rookie, and when Chase was racing, he was pushing as hard as he could and you'd have expected a rookie to make at least one mistake to lose one moto, but he held it all the way through. Exciting for me

2000 TP Roncada

2007 RV vs BT

They were my favorites. The Pourcel ones piss me off. Especially the second one. Ruined what we could of maybe seen an epic career.

I don't know why I keep saying lites. I will say 11-12 races where Bagget did Bagget things were my favorite races. Who the hell Breaks Eli Tomac in the last race of a series. Noone. But he did. Than that second moto charge was unbelievable

It’s been said a ton but 2022 was absolutely insane, what a time to be alive, that and 2021 MXGP are both electric

Haven’t seen 1999 250 MX yet. Albee, Windham, Lusk, Henry, Tortelli and LaRocco all won an Overall and Emig won a moto. So at least 7 guys won a moto with 6 different O/A winners. Had multiple story lines as well.

That season IMO was more defined by injuries than all out racing. Without Herlings injury and then Gajser broken collerbone Febvre wouldn’t have been close. Was still crazy to watch those guys trade mistakes. Febvre crashed out of multiple O/As. I believe he only won 1 overall all year.

2012 250 MX was probably the most stacked 250 class of all time as well.

Tomac = 4 overalls

Baggett = 5 overalls

Barcia = 2 overalls

Moosecan = 1 overall

Roczen podiumed 8 overalls and won one moto.  He got 2nd place in 5 motos.

Baggett entered the last race of the 2012 season 14 points ahead.

*  In the 1st moto, Eli turned in a really fast lap - faster than 450's - but wasn't enough to overcome a poor start.  He got second behind Baggett in that moto.
*  In the last moto, Baggett turned in the fastest lap of the weekend on the last lap !!!  Won the title by 20-points.  Tomac had another crappy start and tip over and came from last to finish 14th.
