The woods behind the house.

Training will be like my father before me.

Weight the outside peg and your going to get hurt.

He was really nervous for me to let him go, then I told him "your thinking too much just ride".

Then I realized I was really talking to myself.  He had it the whole time lol.

Passing a passion to yer kids who then become passionate is pretty up there on the Dad success scale.😉

Congrats. Got both of my kids riding last year. Don't think they have it to consider racing, but I don't care. For me, it's just having fun on the weekends.

Revel in it, Bodycast! relish it, soak it up & take advantage of it EVERY single opportunity you can!
I and EVERY other Dad here will SWEAR to you that it was JUST last weekend our little riding buddy got his first bike…a few days ago were teaching him how to use a clutch…only last summer that he out grew his 85…then borrowing your 450 & gas can on spring break…

Time will FLY by and before you can say “WTF just happened” you’ll be watching the best riding buddy you’ll ever have graduate from school…then leave for college &/or the military…then marrying…then starting his own family… and the cycle starts anew!

You’re doing it right! Enjoy those days off every chance you get, savor EVERY minute with your riding pal & squeeze every drop of joy you can, while you can! Lord knows it goes by WAY too quickly & you’ll be left wondering how the hell it went by & got away SO FAST!?!
You are in the very beginning of what will always be “The good ol’ days” for you & your best riding buddy! Know that ALL of us Dad’s out here in Vi-tard land that have “been there/done that” are all envious and maybe a little jealous of you, and we are all wishing we could do it ALL again too!
Enjoy Friend! 😊 👍❣️

Was living it up on Sunday. Little man stuck it out through the 35mph gusts because he wanted to “ride the big track” for the first time.

Kyzer Dude… I have COMPLETELY given up on :

1. Even paying attention to up/down votes!

2. Trying to figure out why the miserable pathetic POS Losers still sitting in Mom’s basement down voting ANYTHING & EVERYTHING!
Let alone a happy/proud Dad posting about taking a day off from work to spend a nice afternoon with his best lil’ riding buddy burning up gas in the field behind the house!

You just have to chalk it up to the reality that some people are just so SAD/Pathetic & lonely that nothing, I mean NOTHING can pull them out of their miserable loser existence! Not happy posts, not cool dirt bike stuff…NOTHING. They are just sour miserable lonely pathetic losers! 🥵

What track is that? Dirt looks like somewhere near the old Berthoud track.

My 4yr old just started pedaling confidently without training wheels or assistance this past weekend. He's never wanted to ride his bike so much since this moment. Its been amazing.

Must be some POS that already feels threatened by the beginner rider.

Up in Wyo. I’d give a lot to be able to ride Berthoud one last time though 😢

That top picture is testament to just how bulletproof those old YZingers were.

Cherish these times, dads. My kids are adults, and I don't get to see them nearly as much as I want to.

If he takes a real liking to it that would be great.  If not thats ok too but after motorcycles meaning so much to me for so long I wanted him to have the opportunity.

No training wheels and no throttle stop.  He learned to ride a bike on his own about a year ago and got really good on a 50cc quad so I thought he may be ready.  I told him his first go around a couple weeks ago that there is no rush and we will practice alittle at the time.  This was his third time on it and he was gone.

My dad died when when I was 22, im 35 now and divorced.  I have him 50/50 with my ex wife so watching that today was alot.

Absolutely the best feeling, but that was 33-35 years ago for me. And like another said, grand kids are the best. Paid $200 on a total beater, spent $1200 on parts and paint. Had a blast working on it. It’s now being ripped around by one of them.granddaughter next after her time on a electric bike.IMG 5546 0
