read my last sentence carefully. I said recent long-term success. He's had sporadic success on a couple bikes, but not long term and not recent. He bailed on all 3 you mentioned chasing his Holy Grail that he still hasn't found. Why would you think he would go back to any of the other 3?

What bike could Chase go back to that he had recent long-term success on?

KTM 2024 3rd in SX .....1st in MX

KTM 2025 2nd in SX

Sounds pretty successful to me?

Honda 2023 1st in SX....2nd in MX

Sounds pretty successful to me?

He has been successful on every bike he has been on, yes he's that good.

He didn't leave Honda because of the bike he left because he didn't want to play second fiddle to Jett.

I don't know why he left KTM but he had huge success there too, if not for a couple of mental mistakes he gets the SX C'ship there too.

Chase complained about his Honda on SEVERAL occasions this is WELL documented even on vital mx if you cared to use a search bar.

Hasn’t the shock issue been addressed by multiple reputable people in the industry? It wasn’t the shock itself, rather the setting Chase wanted to run that made the overheating issues?

Maybe they should have engineered it around the setting Chase wanted to run, and maybe KTM didn't want to go the extra mile to do that.

Vialle complained about it. Even missed a race.

Not really, May 2025 is when the Bajaj cash infusion came. Prior to that, the future of KTM was very much in question. They'll likely the turning point that gave Eli confidence.

Regarding Chase leaving, rumors have swirled that KTM didn't have an adequate spare parts budget, and that the team didn't pay some bonuses at the time he chose to leave. Rumors are just that, but it might explain the exodus of Chase, Vialle, and Herlings.

It's not the same company now, they have new owners, based in India. It was Pierer mobility, now I believe the name is Bajaj mobility. And sales still are not very good, way down last year. More of the production will be shifted to India, more white-collar workers were laid off, all this is in the new owners' statements. But the racing end is doing well with Eli, they did win Dakar, and I believe Acosta just did pretty well at the Thai MotoGP, even if the team could not come to financial terms with long time star rider Jeffrey Herlings. You want to better believe the future is murky for the brand, if they survive it will be a very different company within a few years.

How the fuck do you know?

It was nice to see the bike could handle ET3's abuse at a track like Daytona.  Bring on the outdoors.

In Hoppers Daytona vid he interviewed Jade Dungey and if I heard it correctly he said they leave the clutch in for more than one event? If that is the case that is impressive!

If there is a clicker or valving operating space on a shock that causes it to fail, then it's a fundamental design issue. Saying it's fine MXGP isn't reason enough that it is a Chase or Vialle problem. That is further validated by the entirely new version they have developed. After Chase, they must've had the realization that they can't have these issues persist with Eli and Prado. In general with Eli given his year to year deal they can't afford a development year. It's go time all the time!

No shock issues over at Husqvarna or GG or In Europe.

He was drinking the same Koolaid as Chase. Somehow everyone on an Austrian bike worldwide except those two didn't have issues. It was also the same shock Chase used in 2024 and Webb in 22/23 that was somehow fine then. I think everyone has forgotten if Webb doesn't get ran over by AC the race before Tomac tore his Achilles, we would have had Webb winning that championship instead of Chase.

Barcia mentioned it too, and said only Husqvarna domestically was getting the fix they had in Europe. I can't explain what conditions could possibly occur to make that true, makes no sense to me either.
