It is the dumbest thing in any race.   Where is any advantage, if everyone is using them.  The issues it causes when they stick, and they do, at the very highest level.   Show us how skilled of a rider you are, ride without, let's go! 

Get rid of starting devices, grates, and start maps if you can. Only allow starting blocks so that shorter riders are not disadvantaged. This will slow the speeds entering the first turn and also put the responsibility of a good start back into the rider's hands, not the engineers. 

There's a reason why major league baseball players have to use wooden bats when everyone below them uses aluminum.   

Factory teams will put lowering electronics inside the suspension, you'll only disadvantage the privateers.
