Dropping here from the other thread.

I was there, happened right in front of us. Here’s what I saw….

Kelly went off the track from the other lane and ended up on the backside of the finish line jump. The tower started waiving the Red Cross flag and hit the lights as he got back in the correct lane and going pretty quick.

AMA guy stops waiving the Red Cross flag, but the lights kept flashing, before the little setup double before the finish, and on the tower. Crew is unaware the lights are still going.

Brown and Jo are battling and come around the sweeper before the setup double, Jo clearly sees it and rolls, from my angle Brown had to have also seen it, and also saw Jo rolling as he passed him around the outside and had to have known he f-ed up, lights were on clear as day. Still hits the setup double and the finish passing Jo and gaining a significant advantage, think Dax got around Jo for a moment as well.
Everyone else sees Brown, Dax, and it just starts a chain reaction…. Pretty sure almost everyone behind them hits it even though the lights are still flashing. This goes on for a good :30 before the AMA guy realizes the lights are still on and tells the dude in the tower to turn them off. Then there looked like some finger pointing going on between them because they knew their mistake will affect the outcome of the race.

The whole field except for Jo jumped on it.

Total shit show.

Jo gets first and everyone else’s finish should drop 1 points position.

This all makes sense but Jo and Brown weren’t battling.  Jo had a lead by several seconds.

Fair enough. I had my eyes on Kelly because I knew they were coming and that was gonna be big a problem, they were pretty close though

Yeah not trying to dig at your story but the screen said he had over 3 seconds on Brown.  Just wanted to clarify how much the red light actually held him up

Yes, it was 3 seconds and going out.

This was a win for Jo at this point. I dont see Brown catching him, it changed the race.

Its extremely clear what should be done according to the rule book, why it hasn't been done already is just the AMA being the AMA........  That screw up totally changed the outcome of the race and it needs to be made right. Joe won, no ifs ands or buts.

Brown and anyone else who jumped on Red light had no idea if a there is a dangerous situation on the track or not. The red light must be observed and honored.  The win must be taken away and anyone who jumped on red must be docked.

They cant give Jo more points but they can dock brown.

How can it take 1-2 days to figure this out?

I feel like the AMA gets unnecessarily piled on but in this situation it’s justified.

What was the cross flag red light incident in the 450 main?

Why? It happened on lap 5. While it is absolutely shitty it happened to him and at all to be honest...giving him a win for something that happened on the 5th lap in a 25 [IIRC] lap race is wild.

I was trying to figure out why the light was red? I may have missed something but seemed like a clear track 🤷🏼‍♂️

Maybe they're trying to figure out how long the lights were on? Idk, it's the only explanation I have. Otherwise this is a pretty clear one.
Looks like they were on when PB and Bennick went through, but what about the 19 other guys?

Any news on Webb and Eli jumping on the medical flag? These clowns are unreal.

It shouldn’t matter how long they were on. They were clearly on with Brown at least so just enforce the rule book. In the following year the rule should be updated so the flag and lights are on for an entire lap so as people are not allowed to make up time after the lights are off/flag removed on those respecting there presence

The pro rulebook is clear and concise regarding red cross flag violations and the consequences thereof. There is no mention in the rules regarding when in the race it occurs.

Umm because its a 1 position penalty for brown jumping on red and jo finished in 2nd place…. thats why. Pretty simple stuff.

For following the rule, I get it...but actively rooting for a win to be given to someone who had an incident happen on the end of the 4th lap is wild. Dude had 20 laps to pass Brown and couldn't.

I get it...Maybe I said it wrong. I just can't see actively rooting for a win to be handed to someone who had an incident on the end of the 4th lap, when they had 20 laps to make up the 3 secs lost , pass the leader and win.

Seems wild to me. But whatever.

And brown had all race to pass Jo but couldn’t, without a technology glitch that literally stole the positions from Jo

It’s soft for following rules? It’s pretty obvious that Jo slowing up for that totally wrecked his flow and took him over a lap to get back into it and then he had to deal with Bennick besides going after Brown. Soft is not following the rules, Brown keeps his win but loses the points. Sounds fair to me

25 laps in a 250 race? No, it wasn't 25 laps.

No, its worded as things you loose. You lose positions gained as in if you passed someone on a red, you lose 5 points, you loose two positions as it relates to your purse payout...

Pos. Gained + 5 Points

& Purse (2 Pos)

Just get it over with. Everyone that jumped on a red light gets docked 1 position. Done.
