Its extremely clear what should be done according to the rule book, why it hasn't been done already is just the AMA being the AMA........ That screw up totally changed the outcome of the race and it needs to be made right. Joe won, no ifs ands or buts.
Brown and anyone else who jumped on Red light had no idea if a there is a dangerous situation on the track or not. The red light must be observed and honored. The win must be taken away and anyone who jumped on red must be docked.
They cant give Jo more points but they can dock brown.
How can it take 1-2 days to figure this out?

Why? It happened on lap 5. While it is absolutely shitty it happened to him and at all to be honest...giving him a win for something that happened on the 5th lap in a 25 [IIRC] lap race is wild.

It shouldn’t matter how long they were on. They were clearly on with Brown at least so just enforce the rule book. In the following year the rule should be updated so the flag and lights are on for an entire lap so as people are not allowed to make up time after the lights are off/flag removed on those respecting there presence
Technology screws up racing. They need to get rid of the lights and just have flaggers

The pro rulebook is clear and concise regarding red cross flag violations and the consequences thereof. There is no mention in the rules regarding when in the race it occurs.

It’s pretty obvious that Jo slowing up for that totally wrecked his flow and took him over a lap to get back into it and then he had to deal with Bennick besides going after Brown. Soft is not following the rules, Brown keeps his win but loses the points. Sounds fair to me

No, its worded as things you loose. You lose positions gained as in if you passed someone on a red, you lose 5 points, you loose two positions as it relates to your purse payout...

Just get it over with. Everyone that jumped on a red light gets docked 1 position. Done.
