"Makes collision" is for me the ultimate RCism. Said it twice during the 250 heats. Race Day Live is so polished now with AC and JB, either one of those guys could do a way better job than Ricky. The GOAT deserves every accolade he's received, except for being placed in a high-level announcing position.

Don’t throw shade on RC. He’s one of us, not some corporate turd polisher. Just remember, Darrell Waltrip was a NASCAR announcer for about 20 years.

Wat?? I actually went to school... I can actually speak english.... I wasn't part of a professional 'keep them fed and entertained" circus... if you think he's one of us.... keep sticking that head in the sand npc...

This is so gay.
Enjoy the racing.
This could be the best era of all time.
Won’t be long

We’ll be singing a song

About MC AND RV as if it were the the same era.

Imminent retirees include

ET

AP

JB

MS

JA (fuck!!!!!!!)

CW

DF

KR (WTF?! No!?! PLEASE GOD NO).

MAYBE EVEN CS4

Who is going to fill this power vac ???

Even Justin cooper is more intriguing than Levi Kitchen

Then you have Jo.
I really hope he is a step above Hunter

Does anyone actually belive deegan has anything for Jett? If Jett can quit dabbing his foot he would be the GOAT/KING/FMOTP.  Hard to be all of them the same time; isn’t it?

Was RC 05/06/07 the best we will ever witness?

The two stroke to four stroke transition cannot be understated

RC defeated JS Who > RV > ET > KR > ET/CW > JETT (he’s been injured a bunch, let’s face it).

The old dogs are god damn Jack hammers

We are missing out on local grass roots talent due to costs

Would James stewart have made it today? If his dad couldn’t afford a bike ? Much less taking him racing…..

James marked the end of an era. From he on, it was factory from 85 up.  Next in line, AC.

This sport is missing a well paid “bush” league or two

Thank you monster for sticking by us.

He's very much a turd polisher. Who helped push out Daniel blair, the real self-made bootstrapper, because his ego was threatened? Who re-married a lawyer and corporate lobbyist?

Noone does "brought to you by carls jr monster energy supermotorcross divisional championship" more religiously than rc. Maybe not even JT. ok maybe JT.

Does he race Mtbs religiously like Jeff Ward? Does he go to ahrma events like Kevin Windham? Does he lead off-road rides like rick johnson or Jeff Stanton? Does he still ride at all? sir?  I don't blame him for being burnt out on the bike after what he put himself through, but he's way down the list of ppl who can say they're moto for life imo.

Land use and equipment cost issues. I hate evs but maybe they help solve both these problems in the long run.

I wouldn't go that far, he's good but needs a couple more years to refine. Stew is decent, better outdoors I think. I'd take Weege, AC, and Stew or Emig.

Honestly, I'm pretty disgusted with this whole production that getting the right people in the booth is only the start. It feels very superficial and dumbed down. It's like almost all of the show is fluff.

You can have the best racing in the world but if you don't have the right people to enhance and communicate that excitement to the audience, it's meh. Split screen, camera prioritization, Will " I talked to.. " Christensen blabbing every 3 minutes about crap that happened 5 days ago,  interviews during the race, ect ect all needs improvement. Ok done ranting.

I would love to see a filmed watch party with Bondo, DC and the top brass from Feld forced to watch the broadcast with select vital members controlling the playback, stopping at key moments to ask for explanations on why we are cutting away from the leaders, what does RC mean when he says “X”, how does this lifestyle enhance the broadcast when played during the main, etc.

Triumph? It seemed he was quite involved with the development of the bike

I would much rather have a commentator who can speak well, articulate a thought, and provide interesting insight than someone who simply has more wins and titles.  Speaking well is more important than number of wins and titles.  AC, JB, JT, DB, MC, and JS are all, in my opinion, far better suited to this role than Ricky. Ricky has never provided or articulated any insight that I found interesting or did not already know, and he consistently struggles to speak clearly and form coherent thoughts. Even when Weege sets him up perfectly to make a point or explain something to the audience, he still fails to deliver. As a result, he adds nothing of value to the broadcast, instead dumbing it down and making the sport look worse to an outside audience.

To the people defending him, I understand that you really like him and that his accomplishments in the sport deserve the utmost respect, but he is simply not cut out for commentating; he is really bad at it, and he has had enough time to improve that it is clear it is not going to happen.

Look at the little nuggets of insight JT$ gives us from the floor.

That's what RC should be doing from the booth all race long, instead of being a second hype man.

I honestly do not see how you are able to even get through a race without having proper commentary.

It must be like watching a foreign film with subtitles from a different movie.  Or receiving a blow up doll with coffee table assembly instructions.

When James is in the booth, he is consistently pointing out things that I didn't notice about the rider and/or his bike.

When Ricky is in the booth, I am consistently noticing things that that he didn't notice. Unfortunately, RC is just not that good in the booth.

for real. him not noticing Yoder cross jumping and line switching for example was making my eye twitch. its always just "heads up riding by the __" thats not analysis ricky. we're not here for the ricky stamp of approval.

You know what's more embarrassing?

Nit picking a commentary. RC has improved a lot since he started. If you drop your previous bias and give him a chance you might see it's not 5hat bad.

The acknowledged GOAT  of F1 commentary (Murray Walker aka Muddly Talker) used to say the craziest things and people LOVED  it.

Spin your perspective from negative to positive to appreciate his mannerism and how it brings colour and life to the broadcast!

Better than a cookie cutter who speaks without character.

I personally think Ricky is getting worse, whilst trying to get better. It is painful to listen to. Not having Differ in there has been nice. Wish we could get a break from RC.

This sums up my feelings very well.

He's not the GOAT for no reason. That's what he's good at, physically performing under pressure. He does not seem to be able to speak clearly under pressure.

The most frustrating thing is that he's honestly pretty good on podcasts. He still does his rickyisms, but he doesn't stumble over them. It's much more tolerable when he doesn't trip over his words every time he makes a mistake. Like he always advises riders to do, you can't turn one mistake into two or three. You have to keep pushing forward.

He's the closest thing to a household name that moto has other than TP199, and I think TP is even fading from public memory somewhat. I think that even JS7 isn't as much of a household name. Whenever I bring up moto to non moto people, they name Ricky as a rider they know. That's all NBC seems to care about at this time. They "Hey I know that guy" factor.

He was trying to say the guy in front of him made a mistake and it was forcing him to chop the throttle and consider trying to avoid hitting the guy in front.

He said pull an audible as if the  moves he had planned were A: shred the whoops wide open or B: pile drive head first into the ground.
