I hope, for the sake of our sanity, Kawasaki starts releasing some teaser videos or pictures soon 😝
Well it did take Kawasaki almost 2 decades to “hear us” in the first place…
Which are we going to get first? This Kawi two stroke or GTA 6?

Damn, is that a few months for the production bike to be released or until we start seeing some media?
yes
GTA VI
Look, how many times do we have to say it?
It ain’t happenin’
Time for this thread to head to the Dumbgeon.
Who is "we"?
The Royal We
Bet you your username
It's either going to happen or not so you've got a 50/50 chance of being right. So, it's an easy statement to make. Tell us why it's not going to happen.
Do you guys realize how excited I get when I see this in my Feed Mail? Then do you guys realize how disappointed I get when it's just more banter and no Kawasaki two-stroke?
I think someone said it best: We'll get GTA 6 before we get a new two-stroke from Kawasaki.
Kawasaki Canada originally told its dealers in the spring of 2025 that they would have the new full size 2T in November of 2025. Kawi is now giving off vibes that it is not happening. My son and I got tired of waiting on the worst new model roll out in the history of motorcycling and bought two new KTM 2T. I am sure the Triumph staff high fives each other every morning getting into the office that someone actually figured out a way to do a new model roll out worse than they did.
The next big milestones for the announcement look to be 4/1 or 4/20.
Either would be fitting.
Kawasaki hired a production company to make a 6 second commercial during supercross.
The production company used a 2 stroke sound, happens all the time in Hollywood, the 4 stroke sounds "don't mix well".
The marketing team gave approval for the commercial because they are oblivious.
VitalMX blew up with people saying they wanted Kawasaki to replicate 2 stroke bikes that already exist............with no intention of actually buying one.
The moto media pounced on the story, surfing vitalmx is a great way for them to see what the fans want to hear/read, and a sure way to get clicks that lead to sponsor money.
Because the moto media started reporting, the vitalmx community echo chambered into greater excitement like a hornets nest attacked with a broom.
Kawasaki updated their 2 stroke (mini bike) for the first time in 100 years, but people feel lied to because they let their own delusions become fact.
The two stroke sound came after a montage of social media posts telling them to bring back the 2 strokes, it wasn't accidental.
I have no idea if the thing will ever see a showroom but Kawasaki built and was (is?) developing the new full size 2 stroke they teased in the initial post.
People have ridden and seen the bike its coming.
Pit Row
With all due respect and nothing negitive to anyone
This is the exact reason for the fustration
Nobody in the industry will give any details or any info or even discuss anything
Kawasaki dealers have not officially been told anything. Any communication with the dealer reps has been hearsay.
Did they top Triumph for worst marketing campaign? Possibly, I guess it depends which side of marketing you are on. From a marketing standpoint, here we are over a year later still talking about it, that has to be a win for them.
From a consumer standpoint it certainly sucks waiting so long to see what they are coming out with. I am personally invested, because if it is a competitive off-road focused motorcycle I WILL be buying one (regardless of this wait).
People have seen the Loch Ness monster too
Honestly I'm impressed they have kept it under wraps so well. Usually by now SOMEBODY leaks a photo or something. And Kawi normally will release stuff to dealers right when they tell the rest of the world but units will be on the way to shops at the same time. If they didn't tease it a year out it's a good marketing method. But this has just gone on so long that if someone was in the market for a new bike last year they probably just bought it.
Steward Baylor has ridden the bike, Kawasaki flew him out to Japan last summer and he rode/tested it. He’s a rider/owner of Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki, the factory Kawasaki GNCC team
Source?
I’m not saying who, but someone at Kawasaki told me that the bike was slated to arrive on time, but they started having problems during reliability testing. I don’t know who, but he said a gncc rider has ridin it and apparently likes it. I couldn’t even guess who that rider is, because I know nothing about gncc.
Is your friend in Japan or is he telling you what he read on Vitalmx?
I've gone full Kawasaki in recent years, have had a couple of both the 450x and 250x, currently waiting on a 2026 KX250x.
I also have a 2022 KTM300xcw I bought new for hard enduro type riding/racing. I'm still holding onto the KTM saying as soon as the KX 2 Smoke is available, it's gone and will be replaced and I'll have matching green bikes in the garage. Still holding out, hoping my 2 stroke is green by October.
I Believe the hype!
It was on Baylor's IG after he rode the bike.
I’ll ask him. Just out of curiosity, where on Vital did someone say it had reliablity problems? I looked in this thread and couldn’t find it before I posted it.
March is third month - so 300cc something to be announced in March? On 3/1 closed to 3/00? 3/25 for a 325cc? Need to adjust my tinfoil hat better.
