I heard with the Seahawks Superbowl parade the track build can't start until Wednesday afternoon?  Seems like a quick turnaround.  Would that mean no press day riding on Friday?  We might drive up if the weather holds (not looking terrible as of right now), its weird there is no longer a round in Northern California!

I hadn’t considered their Super Bowl win impacting the race. Good for Seahawks and their fans but that really sucks for the track crew.

So core.

Hey, if you want to watch grown men flopping around like they just got shot when they only got tripped or bumped into, be my guest.

I will have to deal with some of the bullshit surrounding that event coming to the area, and it can’t be gone soon enough.

It almost seems by design for the Seattle race to be moved earlier in the season to get a crap weather race.  Guaranteed to be cold, and likely to be wet.  I know someone above mentioned it rarely rains all day in Seattle, I spent 50 years there and I can assure that is not true.  It is the place that is famous for getting no more average precipitation than other places in the country, but DOES always have  a steady, miserable, depressing, rain.

With the race being in February now, I think the excuse of not using Safeco field (with a roof) is negated too.  Either way, it makes zero sense to move this race up the schedule, it would have made a lot more sense to move it down the schedule where you aren't going to freeze your berries off, and less chance of a mud circus.

I miss the Kingdome.

The kingdome was a POS

It had a roof....chairs that are no less comfortable then the current ones...and they played baseball and football in it so there was more square footage...

What more do you need?

You sold me with roof.

Seriously tearing down a not paid for stadium to build two side by side stadiums because teams can't share is such a dumb thing. But Seattle will Seattle.

Standing shoulder to shoulder pissing, urine mist going everywhere whilst the line to fit into a spot at the trough was 5 or 6 deep like being at the finest feed lot.

That stuff aside, when we had the dome, we had amateur SX days..  Those were a blast.  I will never forget struggling just to get through the whoops a couple of the years.

Amateur day was crazy.  Starting super early to be done by late morning.  Really made for a full day experience with racing, watching practice and the day qualifiers and then the racing.

The last MLB game I went to was at the Kingdome. I remember paying $18 for 2 hot dogs and 2 beers and thinking I was getting ripped off.

Weather now says dry all weekend. Not warm but not wet, so racing should be good!

Amateur day at the Kingdome was definitely an experience. Starting at like 5 am when it's 30*. Getting shuttled in and out like cattle.

LOL now it says rain (steady) on Friday. PNW weather - if you don't like it, wait 5 minutes and it'll change. It's sunny and 50 there right now.

Agreed, but being born and raised here, forecasts start to get fairly reliable about 48 hours before the day. Looking like it might actually be dry Saturday. I wouldn’t have bet on a dry feb 14th around here.

Dress warm and wear something that will repel some moisture. It doesn't look like it will be a mudder, just damp and cold. https://www.wunderground.com/forecast/us/wa/seattle

We were at the San Francisco SX during the epic mudder and we sat out in the rain.  Layered and waterproof and warm and it was a great race to be at.  Just prepare.

I thought Vital had some wild takes, but over on Reddit in r/Supercross there were people suggesting that the race wasn’t moved earlier because of World Cup but that Feld WANTED a mud race to mix things up. I asked why they covered the tracks protecting them from rain and got no logical response. If they truly wanted a scheduled mud race it would be pretty easy to achieve by just soaking the track with water. People and their conspiracies leave me dumbfounded sometimes.

Reddit is a cancer. There are some good sub-categories, but the whole place is an insane asylum. 😂

Unless the U.S. wins some matches, we won't see them here. None scheduled for round robin games.

Paul Allen based it on the farmers almanac and rain trends during the football season. Not many Seahawks games have bad weather.

Well football fans aren’t scared of weather unlike modern era Supercross fans

Last year I was able to get in the main gate and get some pictures of the track, not so lucky this year with everything being put together last minute. Weather is dry today, forecast calls for rain in the afternoon tomorrow but should die off by midnight. Fingers crossed.AB68AA1F-B1B2-403B-BDAF-AF707E5E4970 1IMG 6685 2.jpeg?VersionId=WlREKlL8K8zDGOR1exf20

How many true mudders have there been in Seattle since 05? 3,4?

Seems the California rounds have had way more 🤷‍♂️
