Club Moto - Livermore, CA

Edited Date/Time 2/10/2026 8:47am

I'm going to be in San Jose for work, just curious what everyone thinks about this track. I should be able to sneak my bike into my hotel room, then could go check it out during my free time. I like jumps but nothing too crazy. Also, do they break up practice by skill level?

Any other tracks I should look at within an hour of San Jose?

It's a good track. They prep it well. It's in a relatively tight space, so it's a bit jumpy, but everything is vet-friendly. They do break up practice into 3 groups, but the first hour is typically open. From San Jose, it's the only thing you've got within an hour unless you want to ride off-road (Metcalf or Hollister).

Good deal. I'm going to bring my bike in a few weeks and I'll check it out. Thanks for the reply!

Club rocks. Small but fun and safe. Split practice up always. DM me and I'll come say hi!

Yea Club is good. Only issue can be traffic getting out of San Jose and over to Livermore.

If you have time to drive, Marysville has the three tracks - MMX, Riverfront and EStreet, all of which are good. Hollister is also awesome for a little trail stuff with alot of elevation and closer to San Jose then Marysville. Metcalf is the closest, but one of the smallest parks - its actually a County Park and not a state Park (Hollister and Hangtown are State Parks). Metcalf also has a fun little track there, but I think the last time it was groomed was 1994....  Keep in mind Hollister and Metcalf are state parks, so you need registration and spark arrestee, while the various tracks dont require that stuff.  Hangtown is also decent if they prep it, but I am not sure what the hours or even if its open during the winter.

Actually, the handsdown coolest track in Nor Cal is the Swanpound, which is located deep in the woods in Santa Cruz. It is probably PRIMO right now with the rain. Hit up Arik Swan on Insta and see if he will let you ride. I think he also has a swanpound account as well, but is not active with that one. You will have to make a contribution, but trust me when I say its worth it....

Metcalf would be pretty fun right now with the rain. And for $6 is hard to beat, but your bike needs to be registered. I haven’t ridden club in a while because I hate waking up early on the weekends 😅

Club is really good.  Great prep, fun layout.  They split practice into 3 groups after the first hour.  Cool vibes.

Can't go wrong.  Weekday traffic probably sucks.  But weekend isn't a problem if you get there with they open.

Club is ok.  I wouldn’t call it really good or bad.
It’s a place to ride in NorCal.  Go there if you’re around.  It won’t blow your mind best place ever.

My heart raced when I saw this thread. Thought we were losing another track....

Is it safe to say Club Moto is the NorCal version of Perris?

Dirt is very NorCal. They've worked hard over the years bringing in all kinds of media to soften it up. It's gotten a lot better. But don't expect it to be like your Texas dirt, that's for sure. It's a fun track. A bit of elevation, safe jumps, good vibes.

Wow, big thank you to everyone in here! I will definitely bring my bike and spend some time out there!

Its quite literally the only track (Baring your opinion of metcalf) left in the bay area. Mike does a good job getting it ready every weekend.

OP if it were me, bite the bullet and drive up to hangtown to ride that track. The drive is not that bad and you'll get to ride a nationals track. Just my $.02 if you were me.  (Somebody who lived in the bay area for 30 years)

Agreed. If you can make it to Hangtown, absolutely go there over Club. Club is a cool little track, especially for where it is and the footprint they have to work with, but it doesn't compare to Hangtown in my opinion.
