You say that as if he wouldn't be making a fortune in the 450 class... He'd be making BIG money in any class he chooses to ride. He's conquered the 250 class already, conquering it again isn't proving a lot. Move up.

He is there to put Anstie in his place.

EXACTLY!  To “PUMP” Max!💯

Him and Anstie aren’t far off from the same amount of SX starts. Wild to think about.

No, he stopped at track exit waiting to go to podium. Nobody rode up to congratulations. Check out a 450 finish.

What about when Deegan took himself out and broke his own collarbone riding like a goon trying to make Shimoda crash? I’d say that type of riding is what caused Deegan to lose the SMX title. Same reason Deegan will have another one coming now from Kitchen, maybe at SMX again. Because he couldn’t help but start games with Kitchen Saturday night. Deegan has the speed, the skill and sometimes the race craft to win it all. But his ego and self consciousness continues to get in the way and he makes more enemies over and over. Also Davies had him covered in speed in SX a year ago until Deegan took him out too lol. But Davies may not have him on speed this year, we won’t know for a bit.

RC has said a couple of times that Deegs will need friends moving up. He doesn't need to have people tying him up midpack because he did stupid in the past. I think Kitchen could have absolutely punted him when he coming out of that corner. Nail the throttle, aim for the foot peg and he's ass over. He keeps pulling shit because he gets away with it.

Would you consider what Barcia has accomplished on a 450 a successful 450 career for Haiden? Unless something goes terribly wrong, he will obviously be a regular front runner and most likely get some wins. I think the better question is will he win titles on a 450 and consistently beat Jett and the others. Some on here act like it’s a foregone conclusion, which it isn’t.

I certainly don't think anything in Deegan's future is a foregone conclusion, but I also don't think riders with 10 years of factory rides and multiple top 5s in championships are failed careers either. I think the career Barcia has had anyone should be happy with, wins, wealth, fame, maybe not championships but still very successful. Deegan beating Jett, Hunter, Chase, Webb, Roczen, Tomac is a big ask, but beat Plessinger, Stewart, Cooper seems plausible. And those riders have had good pro careers. Not every good pro rider wins multiple championships, look at Windham.

he already beat a few of those guys over seas....

Yes we all saw him get stopped by a flagger and start saying something to kitchen. No he wasn’t looking for high fives.

Something that kitchen could try is just beating him in a race, no?   Deegan pulled zero shenanigans this last round.

This is correct! Nothing gets to a racer more than getting beat by their rival.  Smack Talk is one thing, but winning says it all.

With that said…the dude can ride a dirt bike…he is just fun to watch ride…so much talent…the racing is more interesting with him on the track…so I’m glad he’s out there, and I hope he can battle Jett on 450’s (someone has too, otherwise it’s going to be a really boring next 10 years of racing).

I disagree. Jett has missed two SX seasons in a row. He might have a tough time next season, if he doesn't get hurt again. Ask Canaard.

How about we ask James Stewart?

Jetts still younger than majority of the 250 class... and Only 2 years older than Deegan.. Jetts recovery will be fine. Much Like it was for Stewart.. He never lost speed.

I don't ever remember a rider missing two seasons and coming back the same. Stewart wasn't as fast after his aderall suspension. Perhaps Jett will, but it would be another of his "no other rider has done this" things.

James definitely lost an edge after missing 2010. He was never back to his previous level of dominance after that. And he was 24. Not saying that will happen to Jett just saying what happened to Stew

A better comparison would be Kenny missing 2017 and 2018 SX. He was about the same age as Jett, and he got back to a high level but he never really got back to that 2016/2017 Ken

I can't help but be reminded of someone trying to self-justify a bad investment or something. Choosing to believe in hope rather than facts or your gut. It seems like some of you are trying to make yourselves believe that Deegan will never win in the 450's. Do you actually believe that? Barring a life altering injury, I can almost guarantee Deegan will win in the 450's and will be amongst the top 5... yes, indoors. I still think he's a douche nozzle and I will cheer for 21 riders before him, but you can't always love reality. It is healthy to accept it though. Might be good for some of ya.

Say it with me: "Deegan is a loser and he is going to win supercross races on a 450 dirtbike."

Feel better?
