Haiden Deegan’s mechanic Duff apparently got fined for “contacting another rider with his pit board” in the third main at Houston. Anyone know who it was?
Don’t know, but allowing headsets would save some knuckles…
I never saw /read who it was that smashed Shimoda's Hand / Finger last year.
Was any penalty / disciplinary action taken over that?
Duffe should be fined for being such a Deegan arse kisser...
If your boss is constantly shooting you a bonus would you hate the guy? Knew duff from way way back and he’s changed but hey money talks.

Duffe is a made man in this industry, along with most of Star. He don't take penalties.
You gonna fail a sound test after this National? Fuggetabout it. We gotchu. Just pretend that the bike don't start no more. Go talk to Jimmy Two Times.
Tell us how you really feel.
Johnny Vettes says it never happened.
Like five Star bikes got popped that weekend, Deegan was next, but, mysteriously, his bike wouldn't start for the test.
You’re not trying hard enough if you ain’t cheating…. Or at least bending the rules. In all seriousness deegs has gone to another level this year it would seem, dudes looking like he can hang with the top dogs once he goes 450.
“Hey Kitchen, suck it”
That's lame. Should be an automatic fail without reasonable proof the bike had a catastrophic failure as it crossed the finish line.
Exactly. The lame ass officials should have impounded the bike and suspended Deegan's results that day pending the result of the sound test.
Star obviously disabled the bike and the officials looked the other way with a wink and a nod.
There’s a drug ring in MxSports!
On one of the review podcasts they said he wrote a message to another rider.. anyone have a photo of the message?
Wait just a minute there horse collar...are you tryin' to tell me that folks are treated different if they're pretty or fast or rich? That's bullshit. When did this stuff start?🙃
Is Duffe the most famous mechanic since J-Bone? I’d say yes
Ever since the Old Testament.

Dang… 😂
This is definitely something that should be penalized, but I will say the mechanics' area looked extremely close to the racing line last weekend. Riders were almost jumping into it.
I'm not sure who said this...but in NASCAR one of the team owners said...it's our job to break the rules, it's up to NASCAR to prove it.
So, was it "contact" as in hitting another rider with his pit board, or "contact" as in communication with another rider that wasn't his?
The way that jump sent riders towards the mechanics area I'm surprised that it didn't happen more...
They should place a row of tuff blox in front of the fence the mechanics stand behind. That way when they stick the board out, it is hovering over the top of the short blox rather then being out in the track.
Seems pretty simple to me.
The mechanics area needs to be on the other side of the straight, opposite of the race line, pretty easy fix.
I got the same question Lewis's tweet makes it sound like communication not actual contact!
same with the Shimoda incident...why do they put the mechanics in areas where the racing line takes the riders right up against them. They could have easily flipped them to the other side of the track and the riders would have been far away from them. It ain't hard.
In Houston the track crew would have had about 10 seconds to move the dividers and 22 mechanics across a live track. I don't think that's the solution.
As someone else mentioned, just drop a few tough blocks on the track side of the dividers to create a buffer.
Wouldn’t be ideal at all for anyone to see a pit board the way that section went. They are jumping wide damn near into the mechanic area no way there going to look over try to locate the board and then read it. Maybe if there was less sand on the track this wouldn’t be an issue.
