PC and then MX Bikes and Motocross the Game which comes out somewhere this year probably. Though now with prices for RAM and GPUs getting really expensive you have to dive deeper in your purse than usual and it's not getting better.

While console is cheaper, you'll only have access to limited and mediocre MX arcade games, MTG will eventually also release for console but that will take a while.

Right now at least nothing compares to MX Bikes on PC. It's hard, but absolutely worth it to get into, you also got unlimited mod content basically.

Yep, believe me ... I'm a total noob when it comes to mx vid games.  Hoping my PC should be ok though it was built a few years ago ...it has a 3060 graphics card / Ryzen AM5 7600x cpu and 32 GB of DDR5 .  If I want to try out MX bikes on Steam, is it best to buy a controller rather than trying to deal with a keyboard?  If a controller is best...any advice on a controller?

Oh, you already have a PC, that's great then! And the specs are more than fine, specially for 1440p.

Ye, as matty said. Definitely get a controller. I tried both the Ps5 and the official Xbox controller and still went back to the GameSir G7 SE, it's wired (long cable tho) but probably the best budget controller out there. Either of those three is great though.

If you have any questions regarding MX Bikes just send me a DM. After downloading the game go on youtube and watch a "how to install mods" guide. It's super easy once you've done it. Then first download the OEM Bike pack before anything.

Thanks for all the details on this Mavetism!  I was looking at controllers last night...I'll check out the Gamesir controller you mentioned. Being out of the loop on this stuff, I had initially been under the impression that maybe more folks were playing with a console on a flat screen tv but looks like the PC play seems more popular?

Kinda fun to look back at the path of games I took. I played more than these but these were the ones that I really sunk my teeth into and put some serious hours into just due to the fact they were the best out at that time. I've played unleashed and reflex within the last year. Still such a blast. Definitely put the most time into MVA Unleashed and Reflex without a doubt. I have the hunchback to prove it!😂

MCM2 -> SX2000 -> MX2002 Feat. RC -> Mx Unleashed -> ATV Offroad Fury 2/3 -> MVA Unleashed -> MVA Untamed -> Reflex -> Alive -> Mx Sim -> Mx Bikes -> Back to Sim a little more and looking forward to MTG!

Cool collection stewie94!

I haven't played much in years but checked out MX vs Atv Legends and have to say it is pretty legit.  Racing the real outdoor national tracks is great!

I’ve put a lot of time into Reflex, Alive, MXBikes, COD and many others, but I don’t think I ever put more time into playing a game than I did with Supercross Circuit. I loved having to replace tires, rebuilding engines and servicing suspension. I know it was unnecessary, but I really enjoyed that feature an how it affected the bikes performance

There was track degradation too! There were ruts on VMX but built in. So good.

I honestly don’t remember that part but I was also 7-8 years old at the time haha! I do remember Supercross 2000 having degradation

if it had launched with supercross tracks it would probably be on the same tier as reflex

I wouldn't go that far. But i will say once you got really good at that game it was really enjoyable. The learning curve was good.

Not even close to reflex. but yeah a surprise when looking back.

Madness 2 was great with the online lobbies. race teams etc. Unleased though I still play on PC. Such a polished version of Untamed and a few of those around than

I forgot about VMX having that dark Outdoor track and  Supercross 2000 having degradation until you mentioned it. Good times😎

Reflex is goated for me just because the nostalgia and track deformation. Ricky Carmichaels MX2002 was awesome for its time and Supercross circuit. MXGP1/2 was also very underrated. But damn it, I loved Pastrana's MTX Mototrax. What they had going with the career mode was awesome, sort of like motocross madness with the medical bills every time you ceased lol. its MX bikes for today, it’s incredibly hard but so satisfying once you get it down.

Motocross Madness 2 literally pushed me into the career I have today. Got really into it with the RST / AUS guys. Even spent a good amount of time racing with RonRon (those who know will understand). Started making custom bike graphics for the game in High School. Became decent at it, pursued graphic design... Kind of went off track in my mid 30s when I took a promotion I couldn't pass up, but graphic design, which I started in MCM2, got me to that point.

Definitely the GOAT of motocross games, IMO.
