You don't even live in the USA, so you know all of this because that is what your instagram feed told you?

It is probably hard to imagine for a small minded American, who doesn't even know what happens two states from him. But some people are interested in what happens in the word and keep in touch with everything in the world.

That Stephen Miller is one of Trump his puppeteers, underlines the claim that white supremacists and their ideology is wandering around in the White house.

The claim "you don't know, because you don't live here", is by the way such a weak answer.

I reread that and realized I misread it and that the agent was describing his own injuries NOT the person that he shot. I only edited my post to fix the spelling mistakes, hope I got most of them.  I will agree that the " minor injuries" part wasn't really necessary , but I still do not think it shows any bias at all especially now after realizing my misreading of the post. So the rest of my post may have some contradicting things in it , but I want to leave it unedited  so that the response from Truck still makes sense.

I believe it was good to include that quote to show that the agent was not accurately describing parts of the situation that could easily be proven to go against what they said.

If a reporter has something that can help you know how reliable a witnesses observations are than Its good to include. It is a part of the story  and goes to show the credibility or lack of .

I dont want bodycam's to prove any preconceived ideas I have. I want them to show the incidents. Whatever they may show. If it shows protesters antagonizing great they have proof and can arrest them and that could help keep protests from turning into riots or violent interactions.  My reason for wanting the cameras is to hold everybody more accountable.

I realize there are bad people doing stuff for the wrong reasons in every aspect of life. I'm not biased towards only exposing the ones I may appear to side with.

The reasons i post "negatively" about ICE is because of what we have all seen. And how they have lied about it all.  If they were truly doing only targeted operations on the worst of the worst . You might have seen me posting things defending ICE.  I had given them the benefit of the doubt until I saw what they were doing.

What did the officer say that was inaccurate?

I aspire to someday be as "big minded" as you, who sits in Belgium and follows feeds such as "useless cops" to get all my information.

Two states over from me is Texas, my daughter lives there, so I will ask her what is happening there that MXMattii is so concerned about.

But she is just another small minded, extreme right wing, white supremacist American (AKA a conservative) so I guess we will just continue to look to you for your guidance on all USA events.

That's the problem we do not know.  I had misread and though he described the neck wound on the person he shot as minor. I had used that as an example of not being an accurate description. I see that I misread that part. I am trying to spend less time on here and was reading and responding quickly while helping my mother get to the bathroom. And read it wrong , after getting her back to bed I came back and reread to see if I missed anything since I've noticed a lot of my posts are worded horribly when I post from my phone.

With that mistake of mine  acknowledged,  just am not willing to give the benefit of the doubt to them after the responses put out by the leaders of ICE and DHS. They could easily backtrack and put out another press release explaining they had mischaracterized the events and gained back some credibility ( at least  they would for me) and admit that mistakes had been made .

Again bodycams would solve a lot of the lack of trust that I and many people now have with ICE and DHS.

I'm not looking for confirmation of what I " think" is happening. I'm looking for the truth, whatever it may be. So there is no reason for me to be careful  of getting my wish. It either exposes the actions of bad agents and hopefully forces ICE/DHS to deal with them.  Maybe it shows some people that are doing bad stuff to the ICE agents and those people can be prosecuted . I think it's a win either way unless it exposes a lot of bad actions that are NOT dealt with, no matter who the bad actor is.

Bodycam's on Police have liley saved good cops from getting grouped in with bad ones and helped them prove they acted properly. As well as expose some bad cops who still did messed up stuff while wearing a body cam ,perhaps thinking they could get away with it or for whatever reason.

I prefer the truth, even if I do not like what the truth is. The truth is not always going to feel good or be what You want. But it's important that the baseline truths are accepted by everybody and not written off as fake news like happens so often these days.

Its funny  when I hear Trump say that most coverage of him by certain channels is negative. I laugh and think to myself how funny it would be to show a bankrobber complaining about how they only ever talk about him robbing banks.  If You are doing things that a large amount of people dislike, its still the truth when its the truth. Positive or negative. ( I use a bank robber as an example of an activity that should not be partisan and should be seen as a mostly negative thing by most . Not that I am comparing anything Trump has done to robbing a bank. By the way my grandfather robbed an armored car buts thats a story for another day).

The funny thing is I see hardcore supporters of Trump's posts on Facebook as seeing the negative reports as positive. As in they are very happy with the things he is doing that are getting " the libs fired up". It makes me laugh when I see them post about "paid agitators" , when they literally are posting that's what they love about Trump everyday. That " he's under the skin of the libs" , TDS, etc. And then complain when they think somebody protesting ICE is a "paid agitator".  They only have a problem because they are not agitating the people they would like agitated.

If bodycams catch protesters assaulting ICE agents, arrest them and prosecute. If it shows that a shooting is justified and there was no other way to handle it . Then it is what it is. But when we see videos that contradict so much of what they say  when an official statement comes out, that should make it hard for anybody to trust what they say.

I'm not going to argue that the agent wasn't dragged, but I also do not have 100% confidence that he was.  If they use quotes from the bodycam, they should also make that footage available to show that it is the truth.

As I understand it, the agent that was dragged did not have body cam. The quote from the involved agent was recorded on body cam from local officers that responded to the shooting.

Regardless of what happened, the post is using "only minor injuries" to implicate the officer, and that's insane. The presence of injury is totally irrelevant. They're showing their bias and ignorance by even mentioning it.

I'm all for the agents wearing body cams, but be careful what you wish for. The left made a big push for these in the past thinking it was going to prove their theories about racist cops and it did the opposite.

"but be careful what you wish for"....  I think what all of us wish for is simply the truth.  Body cams should be required for all officers ICE or otherwise.  We can't trust the word of our government or ICE as they've been proven to be liars in these past few instances.

It's great that we have an opportunity to learn how to navigate cultural diversity problems by listening to wisdom from a guy who lives in a 90% Caucasian country. A country that can't even manage the differences between Flemish and Waloon.

Kind of ironic that one of his biggest hits was "Born in the USA".

And now he is on the side of everyone who is here illegally and not born in the USA.

It is pretty uneducated to say that Belgium is for 90% Caucasian. On the other side, it is true that there have been problems between the French speaking part and the Dutch speaking part, like there are problems between red and blue states.

Born is the USA was also a protest song. Written eight years after the war ended, the song reveals the emotional scars of vietnam. using a first- person narrative, the song takes on meaning both personally and politically: it shares the experience of a man who fought in the war and returned.

He did interfere. That instigated the response. The cause & effect are becoming pretty well defined…

About  cause…

From the Daily Mail…today:

Alex Pretti had been injured in a scuffle with federal agents in Minneapolis just one week before he was shot dead, it has emerged.

Pretti, 37, was left with a broken rib after being tackled by a group of officers during a protest against Donald Trump's immigration crackdown, a source told CNN.

The alleged assault occurred after Pretti stopped his car after seeing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers chasing a family on foot, the insider said.

Then, as I’ve refereed to and as we know…

He showed up a week later…ARMED…and interfered PLAIN AS DAY & ON CAMERA…AGAIN…ARMED…

And -AGAIN- he got taken down FOR INTERFERING WTH A FEDERAL ARREST OPERATION…&…on camera…SHOVING A FEDERAL OFFICER…Kev, that’s called “Assaulting an Officer”…just to restate the obvious…

Again…

He does the very same shit…a week later…and now…? He’s got a gun.

Interfering

Instigating

Taken-down and clearly RESISITING…with a fucking gun…

And it evolves into an absolute clusterfuck. It’s clear, to me, he brought this shit on himself by injecting himself via aggression towards a FEDERAL OFFICER.

All the while, this doesn’t “justify” his death. Never said it. Never implied it. All I’ve ever said is the end result is tragic and fucking sad.

While we’re here, you telling me I’m justifying this man’s death is weak. It earns you a “go fuck yourself” based on basic man law. We’ve been here, before. You still don’t get it.

Cause & Effect. Period.

Here…

Cause and effect refers to the relationship between an action (the cause) and its result (the effect). It explains how one event leads to another, illustrating the direct consequences of actions or events.

With respect,

Manny

Manny, this “cause & effect” sermon would land a lot better if you applied it consistently.

On J6, people touching, pushing, and obstructing LEOs suddenly deserved 'nuance', 'context', and a lot of justifying the actions of the folks who were actually assaulting officers.  Here, you’re instantly comfortable declaring assault, intent, resistance, and causality as settled facts, no nuance, no restraint, no skepticism. Same behavior, different politics, different standards. That’s not principle, that’s selective framing dressed up as 'reason'.

And you don't have to add a faux 'with respect'.  You've made it clear with your claim of my 'dishonesty' that you have no respect for me, so why would you even try to pretend that?

Well, y’all have been busy today. 22-23 pages? Damn!

Then there’s the Apldude…

Dude, my post was about YOU telling me I’d justified the tragic death that this thread is about. You love misrepresenting what others are throwing down..:and it’s an ongoing habit of yours that’s simply pathetic. But, ya know what? You do you.

As for your need to tell me ANOTHER ONE OF YOUR FAILS about J6 and whether or not I felt it was/is “Identical Cause & Effect”… versus what we have here? Nice try. The Cause & Effect are identical….all the way down to the actions of  LEOs causing unnecessary death.

Here’s what my position was in January 2021…

Our political leaders did NOTHING about the “Mostly Peaceful” riots and destruction that had been going down in Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis…etc., etc., etc.

But, all of a sudden they’re gonna do something about one of these “Mostly Peaceful” shit shows now that it’s come to The Capital? Oh, ok.

Also, from St Louis to Seattle, Portland to Los Angeles, Chicago to Minneapolis…the left rioted, burned shit down, destroyed neighborhoods and even killed people during their “Mostly Peaceful” shit storms and NOTHING was done about it…

But, that sure as hell ain’t how they handled J6. That was my comparison and still is.

No worries. You go on and continue to tell others what they’re thinking & misrepresenting their positions. It’s what you do. That’s how you got The Man Law declaration. Huh? You know…”Man Card”…that’s actually lost on you. 🤣

I’m jus’ sayin’…

Manny, this is your pattern every time.  When the logic gets uncomfortable, you pivot. You don’t engage the substance attempt to reframe, personalize, status-signal, and swap argument for posture. 'Man card', 'misrepresentation', vague 'they' screeds, moral sermons, it's just deflect - reposition - (try to) claim the high ground - avoid addressing the inconsistency.

And the inconsistency is still the core issue.  On J6, touching, pushing, obstructing LEOs got nuance, context, and restraint from you. Here, you instantly declare assault, intent, resistance, and causality as settled facts because it fits your narrative that you follow. Same behaviors, different politics, different standards. That’s not principle, that’s narrative management dressed up as 'cause & effect'.

I'm curious, what are the guys with the stars saying about this one?

Because the public is always trust worthy and never lies about anything. It's just those bad LEOs. 🤣

It's great that we have an opportunity to learn how to navigate cultural diversity problems by listening to wisdom from a guy who lives in a 90% Caucasian country. A country that can't even manage the differences between Flemish and Waloon.

It is pretty uneducated to say that Belgium is for 90% Caucasian. On the other side, it is true that there have been problems between the French speaking part and the Dutch speaking part, like there are problems between red and blue states.

And now he is on the side of everyone who is here illegally and not born in the USA.

🤣

Couple days ago we watched Springsteen Deliver me from nowhere that had a lot about his making the album so it sounded the way he wanted it to sound.

He went through some tough times.

Interesting numbers that shows that what we (I in this case) feel isn't always the truth. Because we all know the stories about how European countries are flooded by immigrants and illegal aliens. Besides that we've a lot of Congolese people who have also a Belgian passport if they are born under Belgian colonization. This makes that we have also a black community, but clearly all together those communities aren't that big.

Maybe this is the same in the USA? Maybe there aren't that much criminal illegal aliens. At the moment are only 5% of all ICE detainees knows for criminal offenses and if you leave speeding and other parking tickets our of the occasion, it is only 2%.

The worst of the worst? It seems that ICE hasn't the tools or the guts to find and arrest these in Compton, Little Haiti, Bronx, Oakland...

I said that it would be able to be used to hold either accountable as in anybody who broke the law aka ANYBODY INVOLVED in illegal actions. The agents or alligators.

Help show who's protesting legally  or who's a part of the problem ( throwing stuff and assaulting ICE agents , or ICE agents assaulting people that are just protesting , blowing a whistle or recording video) . Its all making things worse no matter who the agitator is.

Proof of whoever was in the wrong.  It may not be totally fool proof but it would be a lot better than no camera's and only the word of the survivor when somebody gets killed.

Are you a writer for Rolling Stone magazine? WTF is it with you liberals, everything is about your emotions and how something makes you FEEL. The song sucked and Bruce Springsteen sucks. It was a slap in the face to soldiers who did their job and came home.

Isn’t crossing the border illegally, an illegal/criminal activity?

Oh people stepping over the border are called the worst of the worst? That sounds logic... I would think that rapists and pedophiles are the worst of the worst, but you probably call him your president. 🤣

It wasn't that long ago that if you lived in Europe you had to carry your passport. Travel from Germany to Switzerland? Yup, passport. Your continent is so fucked up due to unchecked migration and you want to make stupid comments here? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Don't believe everything your president tells you. Europe is doing pretty well, you can check that in how strong our Euro is against the dollar for example. If you want I can give you more numbers? Or was it just a "Whataboutisme" reaction because your inspiration was gone.

Also on some areas you can't compare an union like the European Union with a Nation like the USA. For example Switzerland is on our continent but isn't in the union, so you still need a passport to visit them...

PS: It seems that we're still  86% Caucasian. Again don't believe all that right wing propaganda.
