Welcome to the party.👍🏻 Good looking Boy 💯
😂
Took the boy out snow wheelin'.
First time we've had to put him back in his wheelchair for a walk. But he was having traction control issues and we didn't want him to slip and be reinjured.
And the post ride relaxing with his toys.
Awesome pics. You and your lady are good people for not giving up on him. Looks like he's ready for snow spikes my dude.

My dog Bruce. German Shorthaired pointer. He will be 6 in July which feels crazy, time goes too fast. Tail is cropped extra short thanks to an incident between him and my mountain bike when he was around 7mo..He decided to try and bump me out of the line and pass me and his tail got cut off in my brake rotor.

Ollie found this little guy high centered in the road...
Top pic is awesome to see! How far can he go without his chair?
He's good for almost 2 miles round trip with them.
About a mile round trip without.
Without the wheels he tends to not use his left leg as much.
With them he's better at using both equally.
Some days he just wants to wander around close by.
We're just glad he's made such a miraculous comeback.
What is Ollie doing in the top photo, catching snowflakes with his tongue?
Is it his front or hind left leg that gives him problems?
...edit...
Your compassion and respect for Ollie's well-being is inspiring and admirable.
God bless all creatures great and small.
He's catching snow.
Back in June after a morning hike we found him paralyzed in his back legs.
Spinal stroke was the diagnosis.
Spent 5 months at the Carolina rehab center, not promising any recovery.
They'd never dealt with it on a dog that large, and weren't making and promises that he'd recover.
They obviously underestimated this dog.
Seems to be about 80% recovered his right leg, less then 50% on his left.
Probably as much as we can hope for.
Is red light laser therapy something that can help your dog’s legs. I’ve red that it is helpful for a lot of ailments.
Nice pic.👍🏻
Willow and I went hiking at Saddle mountain this afternoon. Columbia river in the background, probably 15 to 20 miles away. Great weather for being outdoors.
My guard dog, Arlo the Ever-Vigilant, really earns his dog food:
And you wouldn’t have it any other way!💯😎

Great looking Pups guys.
I have a hard time looking at this thread after having to put down my sweet Bailey about 4 months ago..... 😢
She was a Weimaraner/American bulldog mix and was quite the lover Dog always wanting to be by my side and vocal when she wanted attention. I've had seven dogs in my lifetime and I would have to say she was one of my favorites. She slept on my bed and helped tremendously in my grief with losing Jan.
I'm thankful to still have maggie. But just like people, she's a lot different than bailey was. I spoil her as much as I can and I know she misses Bailey, too.
As I was unloading my bike from a ride today. One of the neighborhood gals was walking by with a really nice looking pup. I stopped her to make conversation and meet the dog, and it turns out she rescued her recently and she was 6 months old and named her roxy.
I called maggie out to meet her and they seeme to get along pretty good.So I asked the gal if she wanted to go in the backyard. And let them play, as she had never let her dog off leash when walking.
They got along really good. And the next thing I know they're doing the zoomies and rolling around having a grand old time! 😂It was so nice to see maggie.Having fun again as it's probably been about two or three years since she did that because bailey got older and was not able to play like she use to with maggie.
Growing up, we had a neighbor who had a weimaraner, Fido. It was literally the neighborhood dog. Everyone loved it, it played in everyone's yard, it was involved in half of our adventures. One very happy, and busy dog.
Spring is springing.
Ollie, and his heavy winter coat, isn't as thrilled about it as we are.
He invited a few friends out for some vodka shots. They couldn't hang...
This is Kvetch. Kvetch is russian for to whine/moan. She is quite a talker and doesnt hesitate to explain whenever/whatever she wants, has a huge personality! She is my best girl, she was born in our house. 3 years old was the first pup to climb out of the welping box. Im pretty sure she understands English. Shes halarious and a beauty.
She is absolutely gorgeous…💯
Ha ha ha ha great story and that sounds like a typical Weimaraner. 😃
I've had three and by accident (first heat) they had puppies when I first moved to arizona. I was there by myself when she had 7 puppies I helped with the delivery. What an experience that was.
One day I plan to get another one just not ready for all the work and commitment as I would like to do some traveling.
Dog related...the Electrical Engineer who laid out the PCBA on the prosthetic knee I did put this little nugget on the backside of the keypad board as a token of appreciation. I did all the mechanical design and gave them the board shape they needed to fit the components within. He always asked for Bruce pics from my morning rides with him.
Biker and dog both have prosthetic legs if you zoom in haha.
Wow, very cool, that dog looks like a german short hair mix as it's a bit stocky. Just like Bailey was.
Thank you my man. He's a purebred GSP, 60lbs on the dot. Average male shorthairs are in the 55-70lb range. Tail is cropped extra short because we had an incident with my MTB rotor when he was 7mo old where we accidentally cropped it shorter 😂
He's definitely strong. He runs/rides with me most days.
Picture below is mom and Dad.
He was a tiny man once upon a time...😭
Thank you. This is Kira, mama dog, with her 2nd and last litter of pups. Then our lab mix, Biscuit. He is a little odd but we've had him since 8 weeks and went through parvo virus while he was young. Hes quite a guard dog surprisingly, hates the fedex and ups man haha. 3rd picture is Kira and Kvetch playing with some of the 2nd litter pups.
Beautiful markings.
And yeah, I think they all have no problem at all "talking" to inform us of our shortcomings as their servants.
