I think it’s clear that it’s 4.

Advantage Eli, but Roczen, Sexton and Lawrence are going to be in it.  With Chase needing to make up points pretty quick.

Chase did a180 from last week. Aside form the flinch he might have won tonight. Did the PC changes improve the bike or his head?

I’d suggest both.  The bike looked better for sure and he had a confident and much less stressful look after the main.  He was just a little mad at himself for the bone head gate hit.

It’s going to be weird once all these guys hang up the boots. It begs the question of why hasn’t the next generation overtaken them yet, though!

Im watching the race back right now… Am I alone in thinking that Prado didn’t flinch on the gate to make Chase jump? The slow mo didn’t really show what RC was saying.

I agree with you, Prado doesn't flinch. At least not noticeably. That was all on Sexton.

Watching the race live I thought the deegs pass was not cool but that was just my anti-Deegs bias. I just watched the replay and it wasn’t a big deal. Max could have checked up.

Fair enough, and many congratulations to you with the back to back Kawi 450 podiums. Very impressive!

During the slow-mo, to me it looked like Prado slightly leaned forward/adjusted position a bit and that made Chase jump the gun, which I think made Prado and Stewart flinch a little.

Great ride from Hunter too, not to take away from that but I think Eli just got caught snoozing and figured he and Kenny were clear of Hunter and missed Kenny getting passed. Hunter could have easily caused a ruckus in that corner but it could have taken them both down, or caused a huge shitstorm by taking down a crowd favorite / living legend. I definitely think Hunter will snag a win(s) on merit this year though.

What is with the "teammate" crap? Is there a constructors title that someone cares about? You race for yourself and if you have a chance to pass someone why should it be different between a teammate and a different rider? Max left it wide open and should know who is behind him. YOu leave that open and Deegan is taking it.

Never mention Hannah as a comparison.

How old are you?

Hannah NEVER raced backwards. Hannah NEVER took out competitors to win a championship.

How old are you?

Hannah hated everyone he raced against and was an arrogant cunt. Deegan is just a cunt.

If someone started it, Hannah finished it

NEVER, compare Hannah to that silly little wanker

It looked like that on the start too. I think he just runs his clutch perch insanely far down the bars.

I seem to recall the opposite was more likely. He gripped it so hard he was pushing the grip further ON the bar, not off of it.

I can’t remember who spoke about it on pulp, but someone had machined a collar that slid on to the bar, grub screwed tight to prevent the grip sliding up.

Hunta impressed me the most, starting out front then getting passed by Kenny and Eli and getting gapped for 10 minutes.

Comes back to pass Kenny, and catch Eli almost getting past him at the end. Yes Eli said he didn't know Hunta was coming but still quite the ride to get passed early and come back at the end.

He will win 1 or more races this year.

Agreed, Hunter was right there with ET for a long time. Any bobble from ET and Hunter could have easily won

Maybe I am from a different era. I am signed to a team to win races, Ia m trying to win a championship. That was not a take out by any means, Max went high and Haiden came underneath. If it would be fine to do thatis Max was on a Honda then it is fine on a Yamaha. Hell, Star has half the field on a bike. And I have been arounf since the late 70's watching as I am almost 60.

He did not blast him over the berm, or t bone him. He blocked him and there was a little contact. Just like guys know when Barcia or JA is behind them you should know when DEegan is and if he has a chance he will take it. He has shown that. I have no sympathy for a 32 year old in the 250 class.

And how many championships does Deegan have at 20? 3?4? What does they are both Arrogant, So was McGrath, Ricky,James, RJ and all of them that were great. in ANY racing series. But you probably like mental midgets like Sexton

Watched the race and honestly I don’t really think Deegan and Max was anything that serious, didn’t look intentional to me. Problem is Deegan has a history of doing dumb crap like with Jo and Davies so he’s under a microscope at this point.

However, after hearing Max interview I became a big fan seems like a really nice guy, I hope he doesn’t take Deegan or get “revenge”. He just needs to beat him straight up for the championship, that would do far more damage to the ego than taking a cheap shot at him.

Hunta is only just getting warmed up. When he's dialed in, who knows what he can do.

You could say the same about Eli. New team and new bike, unlike Hunter. Let’s say Eli’s bike is only at 90%. What’ll he do when bike is fully dialed?

Watching the reply I was curious about Sextons lap times early when he raced from dead last to top ten in two laps. The podcast guys are claiming Chase was 0.5 seconds a lap faster that the top 3 at the beginning of the race. Watching the replay, that statement doesn't add up; Sexton was 6-7 seconds behind the leader when he was in 8th place (around 3rd lap) and Chase was still around 7 seconds behind the leaders at the 15 minute mark before he backed it down.  Still one helluva ride from Chase!
