We don’t have an independent consensus on intent, the precise nature of the contact, or the extent to which ICE’s tactics that morning followed best practices that minimize lethal outcomes. And until we do, we shouldn’t treat a disputed, high-stakes claim as settled fact, especially in a discussion about a life and death use of force incident.
He had to eliminate the threat once she weaponized the vehicle. She could have put it in reverse and ran all of them over. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
A tragic and unfortunate series of events - and Renee Good certainly deserves blame for antagonising the ICE agents - but if you are able to surgically detach your partisan blinkers for just a moment I think you would see that there was no intent to run him over.

I just want to use this space to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to law enforcement, immigration enforcement, and drug enforcement officers for operating at such a high level keeping human trash, drugs, and illegals off our streets, and making this contry a better place. Its not much - but I'd like them to know their work goes appreciated every single day. The armchair quarterbacking that goes on after the fact is weak, uneducated cope - and the "quarterbacks" themselves wouldnt have the spine to do that job for a day.

Apparently that particular officer was part of unit that has special tactical training, not your run of the mill ICE officer. Also, Just last year there was another incident where he was working a traffic scene and had to break the window to get access. After getting his arm in the window the driver stomped on the gas and dragged him causing quite a bit of injury. So he was no stranger to a vehicle being used as a weapon to cause damage to him. So the lefties want to make this into a "how much is OK?" debate. The answer is zero. Had she not accelerated into the officer, she'd be alive. Once you deviate from the answer is "zero", you'll never hear the end of it. Because today they want to talk about "intent". Intent is a nonissue, You see a car accelerating at you with milliseconds to react to someone that has been harassing you all day, you defend yourself. I'm sorry she put herself in a position that got her killed, I don't want that for anyone.

I wonder at what point smashing the gas was a result of being shot? I don't have any law or military training, but it seems crazy to shoot the driver of a moving vehicle while its already moving towards you. People have a hard enough time driving while they are not shot in the head. I feel like moving out of the way would be the safest thing to do and not shooting a driver ,leaving a vehicle moving and driverless. It would be different if she was doing something that would stop if she was killed. Those were my first thoughts , I was waiting to see if something came out that would help change my mind. Maybe I missed it, but at this point there's AI slop out now that makes it hard to trust any video that pops up.
Its kinda like the chicken egg deal. Would she have accelerated like she did if she had not been shot? For me, I would get out of the way before shooting assuming the vehicle may take off in the direction it was pointed. It's hard to tell from the cell phone video how much she's moving before he shoots.
I really hope that the people who want to protest will stop playing into doing exactly what Trump wants them to do. Stop the throwing of objects and blocking people. Just film and get people's names and or phone numbers and stay out of the way. And meet them peacefully. Rioting and more violence will just result in escalations until something really bad happens.

The agent was conducting lawful Federal operations to secure an illegal criminal and bring them in for deportation processing. The woman was inciting violence, following/stalking, obstructing traffic, impeding Agent's progress in their operations. What she was doing was illegal;

Another agent came over and had enough of her continued obstruction to the operation, and ordered her to get out of her car. She didn't comply, she took off backwards, then forwards and by her terrible judgement there was an agent standing in front of her car. The agent acted lawfully in self defense of a weaponized car aiming right at him. He was struck while he fired the weapon, you can clearly hear it in his "bodycam" video. Its an unfortunate event that didn't need to happen if she was at work like a normal person minding her own business.

I can not thank these ICE officers enough for the work they are doing! I mean honestly imagine when they deport all these people I mentioned. Do you know how great our country will be? Houses will be affordable again, I will be able to walk safely at night in big cities, and I will pay less taxes. Truly a remarkable act.

I have a question, sort of along the same lines as Sasquatch.
If you start with the video that the shooter, Ross, took, you see that he is parked on the right side of Good's vehicle. It starts with him circling the vehicle from the passenger side to his right and passes by the front and then the driver window where Good says something to him and It appears that he does not respond. He continues around the back of her vehicle and ends up where he started. The whole time he is holding a recording device in his hand. I'm assuming it was a phone. The other two agents are not visible. Then he starts to make another trip around the vehicle where he engages Good's "partner". He walks past her and that is when you see the other two agents approach good's vehicle attempting to get her out and probably arrest her which she probably has coming. Ross is still circling with his phone in his hand. It doesn't look like he was working with the other agents, he was just shooting video. From the original video we see her put her vehicle in reverse with the wheel cranked hard left. Ross is still shooting video. She then puts it in drive and accelerates as she starts to turn the wheel to the right which is when Ross pulls his gun and fires the shot through the windshield. Everybody saw all of that. My question is what the fuck was Ross doing all this time? He wasn't engaged with his fellow agents to get her out. He was just shooting video. WTF?

The President of the United States immediate statement after the incident said Renee Good 'violently, wilfully and viciously ran over the ICE officer'. That set the tone and a similar claim has been advanced by those sympathetic to ICE.
If she wilfully and viciously attempted to run him over then it makes it much easier for people to justify her death, myself included.
