There are thousand of videos of ICE agents detaining people without warrants, just asking them if they are a US citizen based on how they look.  The white nationalist racism is really ramping up in the right.

Did they have a warrant for this woman?

TF are you talking about? Why would they need a warrant for the woman? They weren't seeking her out. SHE was illegally blocking the road for minutes leading up to this altercation and illegally harassing the agents all morning as they were going about their legal duties for other people's deportation orders. You cannot put up a blockade against any law enforcement, you will be shot. All she had to do was get out of the car, they would've booked her and her instigating wife that was outside the car. You know the one who told her to "Drive Baby, drive" at the officer which ultimately got her killed. They would've probably been put in jail for a short time and released to "fight another day". But no, she had to cause illegal problems against law enforcement and lost. This whole situation sucks, but don't you for a second think she was innocent.

Let’s not forget how we got here in the first place. Democrats opened the border and let migrants enter illegally. ICE is there to remove the worst elements of this invasion. So whose fault is this really ?

The best is when they try to gain entry to a home without a Judge’s warrant and only an admin warrant.
These guys are constantly betting that people are just gonna roll over for them. And a lot of the time people will because they don’t want to be detained, held or have to retain legal council because it’s a pain in the ass and costs money. All the charges would be dropped.
Total waste of time for our legal system to have a gov agency act with impunity like this.

Stop watching CNN none of that is true.

Anyone ever notice when the left gets shut down with facts, they immediately start listing off their CNN name calling list at the opposition? "fascist, racist, Hitler".

I don't think following someone in your vehicle is assault. What she was doing prior to the incident was actually legal thanks to our first amendment rights. You can observe or film ICE agents, but you can't physically interfere. I don't think she did in this case, but them boxing her in is being twisted as such. Following is not interfering.

I can’t choose a side because I loathe the government and also don’t understand these sort of crazy people going out of their way looking for trouble but I’d like to know when following becomes stalking? I think if I were in his shoes I’d get the fuck out of the way of the 2500#+ car and let her go on her crazy way. Refuse to engage. Shitty deal for sure and the only clear winner will be the motherfucking government like always. Government is an unnecessary parasite with an appetite for power and control that cannot ever be satisfied.

There's no racism on the right, we aren't nazi's.

This is what Joey Bridges, R66, Nrosso stand for.  This is the core of their movement.  They are just a little scared to say it out loud right now.

I think a couple of different things are getting conflated here, and that’s where this gets messy fast.

First, I agree with Kenny on the basic premise that interfering with armed law enforcement is a terrible idea. Full stop. That’s how situations escalate. I also don’t buy that she 'deserved” to die', and I don’t see conclusive evidence that she intentionally tried to run over anyone. Both of those things can be true at the same time.

Where I’m genuinely curious (and why I posted the Devil's-Advocate type of post about it) is the authority chain here.

ICE has very broad authority within the scope of immigration enforcement. I think that everyone can agree on that, it's well documented.
But they aren't general traffic enforcement officers and they’re not local police. So when someone is blocking a roadway, the normal mechanism is to call local police and have it handled as a traffic/obstruction issue.

So the question isn’t 'should she have been screwing around with ICE?' (No, it was not the way to handle the objection to their presence, tactics, etc.).  The question I'm putting forth is, did ICE have legal authority to forcibly remove her from the vehicle for a traffic obstruction, or were they stepping outside their lane and shouldn't have been trying to force her out of her car in the first place?

That matters, because it affects how we should evaluate everything that followed.

If ICE is executing a warrant or operation, and a third party interferes in a way that clearly obstructs that operation, then yes, 'obstruction' becomes the issue. That seems to be the argument harescrambled is referring to, and it may very well be what the DOJ eventually settles on to argue.

But there’s a difference between actively interfering with an arrest, and being an idiot blocking a street because you’re protesting.

One is cleanly within ICE’s wheelhouse/authority. The other is or at least starts drifting into local jurisdiction.

That’s why I asked whether this could be construed as an unlawful detention if ICE lacked the underlying authority to make a traffic stop. I’m not asserting that it was. I’m saying it’s a non-frivolous legal question, and one that any competent defense attorney would/should absolutely raise.

And to rbm33’s point, I agree that if this were a state trooper or local PD, the dynamic would likely have been different. But that’s exactly why this isn’t a clean analogy. Those officers do have general police powers. ICE doesn’t. Different missions/authorities/areas of operations, different legal hooks.

None of this means the agent was malicious. None of it means I know better than he did in the moment. I’ve already said I’m not sure I’d have reacted differently if I felt a vehicle was about to move toward me or impact me.

What I am pushing back on is the lazy narrative of, “She fucked around, therefore anything that happened is automatically justified".

That’s not how use-of-force law works. That’s not how authority works. And it’s definitely not how we evaluate incidents if we’re being even remotely consistent.

You can believe:

-She made a bad decision, and

-The situation was poorly handled, and

-The legal authority question is worth examining, and

-The shooting may still end up being ruled justified

all at the same time.

Those positions are not mutually exclusive. And reducing it to 'brainwashed pawn' vs 'hero agent' just avoids the hard part of the discussion.  It's an emotional response rather than a reasoned look at the situation.

I'm pretty sure that Minneapolis has an ordinance preventing local police from assisting ICE operations.

The only way an agent would do such a thing is if they are putting themselves into the cross hairs of the agents directly. Because the "protesters" are obviously in these crowds thinking they can't be arrested. If they make contact with the agent, and say something suspicious, of course they will be questioned. Y'all are acting like the agents are just walking around the mall and grabbing people and asking questions later. You guys never show the whole video footage either, just the headline clip out of context. The woman was agitating agents all morning, she was found to be the leader of an online Ice-Agitator group and she was the one leading the pack of cars illegally following the agents. Blocking the road, beeping her horn, cause more problems than there needed to be. And she made all the wrong decisions. Now someone is dead because she believed what she was doing was okay, and its the complete opposite.

She was not illegally blocking the road for minutes. Her car was positioned in the shoulder like she was mid k-turn. Do you have proof to substantiate this claim?

What undeniable proof do you have that she was illegally harassing the agents all morning? Following them is not illegal.

Do you have proof that she put up a blockade against law enforcement? You can see an ICE SUV go around her car a few moments before the ICE agent gets out of his truck behind her and tried to forcefully open her door.

To me it sure seems like the ICE agents tried to put up a blockade against her because they were upset she was following them.

Can you explicitly identify the illegal things she did, with proof without any reasonable doubt?

I agree with you that this whole situation sucks.

EDIT - Not to mention the phrase Kristi Noem had placed front and center on her podium...So no, they aren't even hiding it anymore.

The phrase "One of ours, all of yours" was displayed on a podium used by U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem during a recent press briefing in January 2026, sparking significant controversy. The slogan appeared as Noem addressed the fatal shooting of a U.S. citizen by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.

The phrase "One of ours, all of yours" is a direct translation of a German phrase ("einer der unseren, alle der euren") associated with Nazi rhetoric during World War II.

Careful what you ask for.

Does that look like she's on the side of the road? She's clearly in the middle of the road. Honking and dancing in her car. That's illegally blocking the road. It does NOT matter if you can squeeze by.

The agents had tried to partially block and box her in to stop her from her continued harassment. She didn't listen to a lawful order from a FEDERAL AGENT to get out of her car. She made the wrong choice.

Apparently, you seem to be looking past of the real victims of this immigration issue.  Talk about not following the law daily.

On June 16, 2025, during a HSI worksite enforcement operation targeting employers and subcontractors who knowingly hire illegal aliens, HSI Mobile identified and rescued a child and arrested eight foreign nationals for violations of immigration law. The child was found to be working among adults and was believed to have never attended school since entering the United States two years ago.

On May 28, 2025, HSI New York special agents arrested an adult male subject from Ecuador at his residence for violations relating to the sexual exploitation of a child. New York received information related to a 15-year-old female who was apprehended near El Paso, Texas, after illegally entering the United States. At that time, she was pregnant with the adult male’s child and had been in a relationship with him in Ecuador since the age of thirteen. The subject organized the smuggling of the young teenager across the U.S. border to engage in sexual acts. The subject’s mother sponsored her after her illegal entry, and the subject continued his relationship with the children, living together with his mother in Harlem.

On May 12, 2025, HSI Austin reported the identification and rescue of a child, the arrest of two Guatemalan nationals for violation of immigration law, and the initiation of an HSI-led investigation of state and federal charges of human trafficking and statutory rape. During a welfare check, HSI Agents, with the assistance of the FBI, identified a pregnant 14-year-old female residing with an unrelated adult male sponsor, later determined to be the biological father of the unborn child.

On May 1, 2025, HSI Newark conducted a welfare check in East Orange, NJ. Three minors, ages 17, 16, and 15, were encountered at the residence and were observed to not be attending school. During the check, it was determined the sponsor was not living with the minors. They were living in filthy conditions with active mouse infestations. The residence was void of food. An HSI forensic interview of the minors revealed alleged verbal, physical, and sexual abuse of the three minors, along with potential labor exploitation.

On June 24, 2025, HSI Nashville reported the identification of one child victim and one adult victim of labor trafficking. During an immigration court proceeding, the child victim disclosed that she and her 18-year-old brother had been forced by their sponsor to work to pay off their smuggling fees and to pay the sponsor's household expenses.

Does that look like she's on the side of the road? She's clearly in the middle of the road. Honking and dancing in her car. That's illegally blocking the road. It does NOT matter if you can squeeze by.

I appreciate you posting this as it does counter what I said previously about her just making a k-turn. Clearly she was sitting in the road for a few minutes and being obnoxious.

Thank God she's dead now.

Not quite sure how you’d come to that conclusion. I voted for the people that promised to enforce immigration, I’m all for it. I didn’t vote for a government agency to be weaponized to shit on and trample all over citizens rights and the constitution.
Can you point out where I’m overlooking victims of crimes and out of control immigration.
Do I fucking sound like the type of person pro open borders and sanctuary cities??😂😂😂

MAGA will literally fall for anything.  his "proof" is 10 second video looped on youtube with no views on a channel with no subs. your average person would question the authenticity of such a thing.

Who's the ONLY party that's causing literally all the social problems right now? The left. Rioting, burning, looting, blocking roadways, interfering with federal agents, attacking law abiding citizens for their hats and signs, public assassination's and attempts, the LEFT. We are not the same.

you're posting in a thread about a US citizen being murdered by ICE you fucking walnut

That's your view of how it happened. NOT mine. She wasn't hunted down by ICE. She was finally told to stop and get out of her car. She was unfortunately justifiably killed in self defense of her attempt at running over an officer with a gun who has every right to defend himself, just like you. This situation doesn't need an officer in those shoes to be justified, any citizen would be justified ending that problem in that fashion. Would you be saying the same thing "she murdered the officer with her car" if it was roles reversed?
