I don’t think anyone is confused about the fact that vehicles can be dangerous or that these situations can turn bad quickly. That part is pretty well established. What’s consistently interesting to me is the lens you bring to these threads.

You reference tactical reviews, deployment-style thinking, weapons systems, LEO community standards, and global context in a way that suggests very current, very integrated access across a lot of normally separate worlds. That’s impressive, or at least unusual.

The only reason it even catches my attention is because the O-5s, O-6s, and even the single O-7 I know personally are always very clear that even inside the system, those domains are heavily compartmentalized. So seeing that level of cross-domain access from a civilian business owner who’s been running companies for decades is genuinely impressive. In the 20-plus years of posting on the same message boards, I don’t think I’ve ever actually read what sort of experiences have led to this level of knowledge and access.  And if I have seen it I certainly don’t remember it. It would actually be interesting to hear what that background looks like, because as it reads, it sounds like insider, military-based reasoning and tactics being applied to a very civilian ICE encounter.

Either way, this wasn’t a battlefield, it wasn’t a uniformed PD felony stop, and ICE isn’t your local patrol cop. So some of the tactical inferences here feels a little bit forced to try to justify what seems like a bad situation from nearly every angle.

There’s a bridge comprising of methods, intel and technology. Involving everything from best standards & practices and tech/equipment…and even some source/resource sharing… which, btw…I’m not necessarily a fan of said shared resources..or…methods…Not between mil and civil. I see more than a few sticky constitutional issues that we seem to shit on in the name of safety…or security…or fear…or….

Weakness.

But, I digress.

About “compartmentalization”: there-in, more often than not, lies the problem(s). Flawed Fiefdoms and Paradigms abound.

Also, you’ll notice in the near future or dare I say, the present…a SERIOUS house cleaning on 0-5 & up. Notably…there are sooooooooo many stars on soooooo many shoulders…too many. And that’s changing…as I write this…it’s changing. We need more non-comms and enlisted and quite a few less sparkling stars and gold clusters.

My exposure to these things is based in the aforementioned bridge and the supporting tech and conversing in circles of people I’ve worked with/am working with.

My opinion on the initial matter you addressed with your personal relationship examples: sometime around 2012…there was a housecleaning…a political housecleaning under Obama: O-5 & up that didn’t conform to a sort of “New World Order” of thinking in a rather culturally VERY liberal way…and that begot the DEI insanity we’ve seen over the last decade+. Look, I’m all for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion…but…it’s not the primary mission of that 5 sided building in Virginia and it’s (DEI) been pushed waaaaaay past it’s viability in that sense.

But, again…I digress and I’m impressively surprised…in a good way…by your take and familiarity in these matters.

Fair warning, I’m going to try very hard not to ‘digress’ here 😄, because this is actually the part I was genuinely curious about.

Just to be clear, I don’t have familiarity in these matters. If I did, I wouldn’t be asking. I’m very much on the outside looking in, which is why the way you talk about these things stands out to me. It reads very insider-ish on a pretty big variety of topics; tech, military strategy/tactics/operations, global politics, science, etc.

When you mention ‘the bridge’ and ‘circles of people you’ve worked with / are working with’, that’s the piece I was trying to understand. Are we talking program support, tech integration, contracting work, advisory roles, or something else? I’m not trying to pin you down, I’m honestly just curious what that looked like in real terms. It almost sounds like a real-life composite of Jack Ryan, Will Hunting, the Dos Equis guy, and maybe a little bit of James Bond 😄

Because the way you reference methods, intel, pipeline issues, and housecleanings sounds more like in-the-room exposure than casual proximity, and that’s not something you hear every day from someone who’s also built and run companies for decades. It’s interesting, that’s all.

I may be dense here, but I’m not really seeing how the DEI piece connects to the compartmentalization point I was making. I wasn’t getting into culture or politics there — I was just talking about how those domains are structurally siloed, which is why the cross-domain access stood out to me in the first place.

So yeah, no ‘familiarity’ on my end. Just curiosity about what lane(s) you were actually in to see things from that angle. And apparently a growing knowledge of how many creative ways there are to ‘digress.’ 😄

They're subhuman illegal alien savages.

They were rounded up, and incarcerated awaiting deportation.

Try bleeding out your heart for the legal citizens, or victims of the crimes these assholes commit.

The picture you posted doesn’t show any agency name, database, jurisdiction, or case number, so there’s no way to verify it as a real booking record from anywhere.  That alone should make a reasonable person suspicious about its authenticity.

Reporting so far identifies the victim as Renee Nicole Good, 37, U.S. citizen, with no confirmed booking history.

If you’ve got a real source for this, post it. If not, it’s just parroting an anonymous image that you know is fake but you like what it says.

Glad I'm not the one having to split hairs between assault and rape and civil and criminal in order to keep thinking he's a good person that.....was pals with a child rapist and creeper'ed into dressing rooms and cheated on his wives and on and on and on. It's baffling that folks are unable to see how it makes them look with so much that's stacked against their position, but they just have to protect the guy no matter what. Surreal to see such glaring identity politics in full-throttle action. And really it's all been depressing and disappointing, because my-naive-self thought so much higher of our people a decade ago. Hopefully someday we will regain our independence.

I never said I approved of his conduct. Not splitting hairs either. Words have meaning, and if we're going to describe things, we should do so accurately.

Systems Integration on the “hardware meets mission capability” side of things since I was a young man.

Started out, in my 20s, with a Captain/Program Officer on a major/top of the triad program…40ish years ago. He went on to wear some stars and run some important shit. That was the start that has its fingerprints on my career to this day. I worked by his side as he went from Cap’n to Regional Bad Ass Boss. “Staff” can be a wonderful gig.

Things from “back in the day” working for that guy come up in meetings…still…and bring down the laughs or the “Oh, shit…damn!” responses. Good times.

Since then, putting out the same kinda fires by adapting systems from one program to another. There’s usually a lot of people in the room. Seems everyone wants in on the latest hot project.

That’s about as definitive as I’m gonna get. But, it’s how you end up watching the various components of The Big Picture come together and it offers the opportunity to work with A LOT of very capable people…in all sorts of uniforms and stations in life.

And…it s fun.

💪🏼🇺🇸

I never said I approved of his conduct. Not splitting hairs either. Words have meaning, and if we're going to describe things, we should do so accurately.

Be consistent in how you apply this.

Speaking of words matter, and describing things accurately...

"Donald Trump repeated the claims in an inflammatory post on his Truth Social platform on Wednesday afternoon and in a later interview with the New York Times, adding the disprovable assertion that “she didn’t try to run him over, she ran him over”.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/jan/09/white-house-minneapolis-ice-killing

I am curious in your opinion on this. Since we call this victim a Domestic Terrorist, do you feel that same title fairly applies to the J6 rioters we pardoned as well? Or are they Patriots in your view?

For reference @Joey Bridges - The records of some of the J6 rioters Trump pardoned include rape and domestic abuse charges. $10 says they are ICE agents now.

"While many people had no criminal record prior to committing crimes on Jan. 6, NPR has identified dozens of defendants with prior convictions or pending charges for crimes including rape, sexual abuse of a minor, domestic violence, manslaughter, production of child sexual abuse material and drug trafficking."

@Joey Bridges How do you feel about our president pardoning these domestic terrorists and allowing them back onto our streets? Are you ok with it since they are home grown?

Patriots or subhuman savages?

The more you post on this topic, the more you seem to hurt your case and credibility.

@R66 If you are referring to me, I don't consider myself a liberal in the political sense you are probably inferring. Or are you inferring you think @Sully is a liberal? I just quoted his advice.

I am not telling anyone what to think or believe, just openly conversing and asking questions to better understand how and why others feel the way they do about topics such as this.

However, by definition you appear to be liberal too. You have nothing wrong with gay people (your words) though you don't align that way yourself.

I sure don't. But I might have stayed at a Holiday Inn last night.

See my post from a couple days ago:

Naturally, since this incident I did some googling to learn about training, protocol, etc. amongst other things so I could come across as a seasoned expert. I am not, just a concerned citizen who does care about people, much like the woman who was killed by an ICE agent a few days ago

They're subhuman illegal alien savages.

They were rounded up, and incarcerated awaiting deportation.

Try bleeding out your heart for the legal citizens, or victims of the crimes these assholes commit.

And speaking of crimes...

Words have meaning, and if we're going to describe things, we should do so...

I never said I approved of his conduct. Not splitting hairs either. Words have meaning, and if we're going to describe things, we should do so accurately.

Apologies, the resistance read different to me. If we're strictly getting into the words-matter weeds, then conviction also includes a firmly held belief or opinion, which the jury actually did deliver a firmly held belief or opinion. And the majority of the country includes other objects into the definition of rape. His words were not accurate for a courtroom setting, but outside of a courtroom setting they are technically accurate, albeit misleading since it sounds like courtroom language...

https://law.justia.com/cases/federal/district-courts/new-york/nysdce/1:…

The  jury’s  unanimous  verdict  in Carroll  II was  almost  entirely  in  favor  of  Ms. Carroll. The only point on which Ms. Carroll did not prevail was whether she had proved that Mr. Trump had “raped” her within the narrow, technical meaning of a particular section of the New York Penal Law – a section that provides that the label “rape” as used in criminal prosecutions in New York applies only to vaginal penetration by a penis. Forcible, unconsented-to penetration of the vagina or of other bodily orifices by fingers, other body parts, or other articles or materials is not called “rape” under the New York Penal Law. It instead is labeled “sexual abuse.”

***I should also note that Trump sued ABC News and George Stephanopoulos for defamation on this very topic and won.

The ultimate criminal behavior.

Child abuse.

Though the usual clowns around here are oblivious as to how vile these two were.

Seems criminal behavior, no matter how savage, is okay with them.

They just turn a blind eye to it all.

Same with the tax fraud these assholes are ripping us off for.

The right is doing the same? I don't see the right holding up the ICE officer as some kind of hero for the cause... or the right protesting in the streets for ICE. Defending his right to self defense, yeah, they're doing that. Exposing the left paying protesters, yeah, doing that too. The facts are she put herself in a bad situation that she shouldn't have, and paid the ultimate price for it. Accountability / Responsibility. Spin it however you like, those are the facts.

Look harder.

No need... If you have video links of right leaning paid protesters in the streets of Minnesota over this, please post them. I see you skipped over the fact that she put herself (not ICE/Trump/Right) in a bad situation. Again, accountability/responsibility.

Couldn't have come at a better time For Walz, and his equally incensed mayor. Probably a nice rest for all the top dancing they've been doing since this fraud allegation landed on their doorstep.  As for Ms. Good, let's just say she died doing what she loved.  The rest is just the prattling of an all to ready band of hooligans ready to destroy their city for something to do.

Before Ms. should've turned left not right made herself part of the discussion, I was looking forward to seeing what Walz had in mind when he made his warning about deploying the National Guard to impede the ICE agents from carrying out their orders.  The particular part would've been how the National Guard would've interpreted an "Illegal order".

Agreed that child abuse is one of the worst/ultimate criminal behaviors.

What is your take on us pardoning J6 rioters with rape and sexual abuse of a minor on their records?

You gonna turn a blind eye to that?

Can you post anything remotely credible backing up your claims about the victim here?

You are very correct. Liberals are brainwashed by the demonic Dems, MAGA isn't brainwashed at all they just see through the bullshit and want to make America safer and stronger. AKA both sides are brainwashed as we're witnessing psychological warfare in an alarming way.

I consider myself pretty in the middle on a lot of political stuff. I am just concerned with what we're seeing so decided to actually speak up and participate.

Politics is so damn polarizing these days, it's hard to imagine a time when both sides were reasonably level headed and could civilly discuss things.

Ahhhh another thing happened to further the divide and keep people fighting with one another. At this point I think the world is a stage. Trump has mentioned central casting multiple times. Has said stuff like “central casting, we’re all central casting”. We’re being led on a leash right into the new surveillance state. Palantir is going hog wild behind the scenes and Donnie keeps giving them the green light. Their thought crime program will sure be something!
