I need to go back and check if Deegan cross jumped McAdoo, because in real time it certainly looked like it.
Because this is what I was expecting honestly. status quo for a season opener.
I’m a little surprised how long it took Deegan to come through the pack. At one point I thought Kitchen might catch him from last place but then he got hung up behind Yoder I think. Anstie is always good round 1. Didn’t he win the opening round on the Honda one year as well?

I was sitting with my vantage point directly down that rhythm section and it looked like he jumped right into McAdoo's line
I'm actually excited to see if Anstie can keep it up down to the last race. Deegs is going to be in it regardless of what happened tonight. It'll just be really interesting if Deegan has to pull his dumb bs against the 30+ year old guy in the class. Like, how will Anstie even respond if Deegs threatens to "throw a fade" at him or whatever. And they're on the same team. I actually think that Anstie is the last guy Deegs wants to have to race 1 on 1. He can mess with Kitchen's head but Anstie is too old to give AF about whatever dumb crap Deegs has to say.
Max ain't afraid. He may be a tick off in speed, but he dgaf. And he wants to win very badly.

I just replayed it, and yeah Deegan goes from the middle of the track on take off and lands all the way to the left on the landing. Definitely cross jumped poor McAdoo. Hopefully he’s not too banged up from that one.
It’s amazing how clean he comes out from most of these incidents. Other then Jo last year anytime he gets aggressive or borderline over the line he rides away fine.

McAdoo for sure owes him one, or two or three or four or five or six or seven....

Deegan unintentionally cross jumped resulting in McAdoo going down. Clear as daylight on the broadcast. I rewound a few times to check that out.
Just disappointed, a kid like this wouldn’t have got away with it 20 years ago.
There is just something off with Deegan and SX. I'm not that impressed tbh. Yeah, he is good. But is he on the level where he can fight with Tomac, Roczen and Sexton? I don't think so, and i refuse to add Jett to this list because there is an ocean between him and Deegan on a SX track.
Outdoors is different, there i'm pretty sure he will be a 450 frontrunner.
Others have commented on this, but I finally got a chance to go back and check for myself; now the question is was it deliberate or a racing incident?
I’d say racing incident, except for the track record and what happened before the collision resulted in McAdoo crashing. Deegan cross jumped him badly two lanes earlier and even did his cringy look back as his reckless riding took his opponent out.
This is the very telling cross jump two lanes before Deegan and McAdoo collided.
At least he can cry in a private plane.

Great for anstie......that an almost 33 year old british rider wins in this class is not good in my opinion.......it also say something about the level in this class
Deegan must have such a sore neck the day after racing. He's looking back over almost every jump.
Good for Anstie. I think if he's near Deegan on track he'll happily just sit behind him and wait for the mistake to happen.
