compared to Canards 450 on the same track
It just doesn't surge hard out of corners like the fourfiddy
i think the lap times will be similar but making passes will be hard, one mess up in a corner, will ruin a tricky section (where a 450 will just Braaaap over anything from a standstill), squaring up out of corners will be harder, Whoops? if he dont get a good run onto them, will he be able to build speed through them like a fourfiddy would?
Starts will be neither here nor there IMO, its the rest of the track in a race situation that could be an issue.

im not commenting on the rider and his influence on the bike or how the riders skills affect the bike. Im saying the 450 surges forward out of corners and through rhythm sections more dramatically than the 350.
Its not to say he cant win on it or get a start on it, But i just saw a drastic difference on the same track between the two bikes. It will go around a track equally as fast as a 450 but in a heated battle, the power disadvantage will be very noticeable.
NB. This argument is nullified if the bike actually does ride like a 250f, the factory bike does make as much power as a 450, and if shorty and Allessi ride it like a 125 on the limiter, which neither of them do.
any other time they go daddadadadadada - well at least Barcia's does
have a look at lierop on freecaster, race one cairoli is last on the first lap, passes nearly everyone to finish 3rd (despite crashing 3 times) moto 2 he wins by about a minute! And that is on the knarliest deep sand track in the world!

Your right though, the 450 does look like it hits harder. But then, after some laps on a sx track and you find your self in a battle, would you still have energy enough to ride that 450 aggressive when somebody is battleing with you?
Im sure this is not as much of a factor in supercross but motocross it is. I'm not saying that a 450 will be 3 seconds a lap faster I'm just saying that they will have more power and even though they may not use all the power all the time there is some places where that extra power can make a section faster.

People point to Roczen at MXoN, Villopoto at Budds Creek MXdN...you can even point to O'Mara 1986 MXdN. These are instances of very unlikely results. Does O'Mara's performance prove that 125's were at no disadvantage to 500's? Yet, Roczen at MXoN somehow correlates to the 350 not being a disadvantage in the long haul? No, it just means Roczen was on it that day.
Cubic CC's mean fuck all, it's how you ride it that counts as Tony Cairoli demonstrated all season in the GP's on his 3fifty rocket ship!
Where the F do you guys come from??? Really??
