I just read a stat that Chase Sexton has made all 46 starts in his career.  (Source: Clinton Fowler)

It’s even more impressive given how many tumbles he’s taken!

He threw away about a dozen wins on the Honda and KTM… If he stays on 2 wheels on Kawasaki this 2026 SX title is his!

In Seattle he weeded it in practice and missed the night race, 2022 I believe. That’s the only race I can think of where he ended up sitting out

Other than last year, since he moved to the 450 class, nobody has more starts than he has in SX/MX combined.

Yeah, he’s got a tuck the front reputation from the Honda days, and a bad on track decisions reputation from the KTM days, he’s still out there getting gate drops and competing for titles year in and year out.

He’s at a team where he’s “The Dude”. I’m thinking we’re gonna see a CS4 that’s more on point than he’s ever been.

And, funniest of all…as they say….“Besides all that”…he started his Green gig in Hawaii. I mean…damn…

Damn, it is crazy considering how hard he's hit the ground at times. Meanwhile I throw my back out putting a bowl in the dishwasher.

I don't think we realize how hard he actually slams. His SMX crash would have killed me. The video he posted on the Mysport channel called "The Switch" started with a few clips of unbelievably hard hits, one after another. The narrative has always been that he tucks the front etc, but he has BIG ones.

I always think about that. I had a minor crash at Cahuilla on a small double and I felt like I could barely lift myself off the ground. I watch Chase and Deegan when they have insane crashes, and they bounce up and run to the bike like it was absolutely nothing.

Didn’t he miss some rounds in 2021 when he crashed at round 2 of that year? Seem to remember broken collar bone?

Think the wording is a little off. Must be “last 46 starts” not “all 46 starts of his career”

46 starts with 17 rounds is  2.7 seasons.

Yep, 6 rounds. Returned at Daytona. Then as someone else mentioned, he crashed in qualifying at Seattle in 2022 and didn't race that night but he's made every round of SX after that so that would be 56 rounds. (last 5 of '22 + all of '23, '24 and '25).

Yah I was going to say the same thing. When I saw 46 , I thought right away he's been in the 450 class longer than that would add up to.

2026 will be his 6th full 450 season.  He started 450 SX in 2021.  21,22,23,24,and 25 = 5 years .    5x17 = 85 possible mains .   Hes still one of the more durable current guys in the recent past.

Makes McGrath's and RC's records even more impressive.  With both of them being able to stay healthy enough to keep riding most of the time.

Reedy holds the record with 116 consecutive premier-class SX main event starts; from his rookie season in 2003 through to the second round of 2010. Even checked himself out of hospital to make one night show.
