MAKITA SUZUKI IS BACK!

HEP announced today that they are partnering with Makita for the 2026 season and beyond.  Stoked to see the Makita Suzuki coming back.  More good news from Suzuki, hopefully the button is on the way for those that have been waiting.

I love that movie!

If y'all are curious, that scene where Jim Carrey, as Lloyd Christmas, in Dumb and Dumber proclaims "We landed on the moon!" was completely improvised and not in the original script. That's one example of many by Carrey going off script that makes the movie so iconic.

And yes having Makita back is awesome!

Honest question- is anyone buying Makita tools? Their older cordless tools were awful. I think mostly Milw and Dewalt are the go to today…(or Ryobi if your wife is the man of the house).

How are their tools? I am willing to buy from companies that support moto..

Makita tools are still great.  All three brands are comparable.

Dewalt color wise should be a no brainer. I’m surprised the tool companies aren’t involved more with moto.

They have always been popular in the automotive world where space is a concern.  They seemed to have the smallest drivers.

I have an Amish crew building my new shop, they have been there for about a month.  They are Makita EVERYTHING.  Ive never seen so much Makita in one place.  They must have every item Makita makes.

Ryobi is a cheaper brand and the quality isn’t as good, but unless you’re a tradie or have money to burn, it’s good enough for most jobs.

Wondering with Makita’s brand being blue now, how it’ll fit in with HEP’s colour scheme? I suppose it depends on how big their sponsorship and logos are? Hard to beat the red on the old Suzuki team.

Makita's brand has always been teal (with a red logo)

Makita logo is small. Red on black looks great.

Upper airbox on Anderson's bike and lower/bottom side number plate on Kenny's bike.

Been using makita only for about 15 years. Millwaukee and DeWalt have failed me both. Ive had to replace one makita battery because it fell out of my bags on some scaffold. There older cordless tools were great not sure what you’re talking about?

Makita is great. The Makita tools they use in Japan are even better.

I like Milwaukee but would probably go Makita second.

Man my Milwaukee and dewalt shits my garage queen tools the last 9 years. Makita is just as good as anything they put out same with ryobi and at a better price.

To be completely honest. My tool buckles for the guys on jobs are all harbor freight and those get used and abused more then a whore in vegas and still keep ticking. For the record I own a restoration company so every day the guys are tearing someone's house, apartment, condo or commercial building apart.

I'm a Milwaukee guy no question, but I did win a Makita impact in a raffle at work probably 7 years ago and it was a great tool that outlasted my Milwaukee impact. Gave it to my dad when the battery shit out and he bought a new battery and still uses it around the house.

ALL MY TOOLS R MAKITA.

But on a serious note they are just as good as the others at the top. Still the go to on big commercial jobs are the ryobi you know will be stolen and don’t intend on having it after the job.
