Thats a sick looking pipe. I was wondering why don't they make two-stroke pipes out of stainless... too heavy? They make four banger exhaust, out of stainless steel, I don't see why not.

Yeh, speaking of pipes, someone made an aluminum pipe there briefly - towards the
end of the 2 stroke daze....don't think they sold well....also recall DYNO-PORT out of
Unfortunately the 79 CR125 my kid and I are putting together won't be looking quite that sharp. Pretty sharp, but not that good. But, we do plan on running the ever loving shit out of ours.

Good old Dyno Port! Their warehouse was awesome, I remember as a little kid walking in there one time and just seeing nothing but 2stroke pipes hanging from the rafters.
Rich still rides I believe, I see him at a few mud and snow scrambles every once in a while, he has some serious hillclimb sleds too.
Little off topic, but here's Greg Toyama riding pretty much a stocker, except for the 21" front wheel at a VMX to honour the late Andy Caldecott (Paris Dakar) in South Australia a couple of years ago
Sorry man but I always thought these pipes looked cobbled together and not finished.
I know I am going against the grain here and don't mean that the bike looks bad.
Just not a fan of those pipes.
That Honda does not have a cone pipe. If you look closely it's a stamped pipe with a bunch of decoration "welds" on it. It has been broken apart and re-welded to look like a cone pipe. The bike is still beautiful though!

The RM pipe is a true cone pipe.
Definitely some cosmetic ones, and the head pipe, but nore sure about the rest after going back to the rest of the pictures. His email address is there to clarify that. Sure as hell cleaned it up nicely for the bear metal effect, though, if that's the case.

Look closer. Yes, it does have some decorations on it but it is not a stamped pipe. I do believe he builds a lot of his own pipes. The head pipe is tapered in standard fashion where they split a piece of pre bent round tubing and weld in a tapered strip on each side. Then it gets into the cone sections.. Nobby builds some beautiful stuff. I may not always agree with his color choices, but there is no denying his attention to detail. About those color choices, that white 79 Mugen got it all right! Definitely a two thumbs up on that beaut.
Looking at the elsinore site, I guess it started as Jemco pipe, and it sounds like he has an issue with them.
He bikes look great. My nit, which is personal, is that I don't like putting black rims on period bikes. Honda's should be silver or gold. Black rims look terrific on modern bikes.

Pit Row
and yet the M3 and RA models were great looking!
Had them all back in my vintage days.
