Millsaps hurt?

I just read on Motocross Action's website that he compressed 3 vertabrae in his lower back last week seat bouncing a jump. Said he was in terrible pain at Genova tonight and I didn't see him in the race at all.
I have one compressed disc and can't imagine 3! That is not good. Anyone have any info?

Got several of those myself and life has never been the same. Luckily they have glue/cement injections now that only work on new injuries but have great results and relief within a couple of days.

I hope not .. with rumors that JG injured his foot, and then Millsaps with an injury too.. That would be two big names already out for A1. Let alone Pourcel. That'd be a bummer.

I compressed fractured my L2 and also have 2 compressed discs in my lower back. The discs pain never goes away and I can't ride much now cause its just to much everyday. My compressed vertabrae doesn't bother me at all after it healed. Everyone is different but I wouldn't wish any back injury on anyone cause its a life sentence for me.

Well, nobody says it, but the odds of every big name being at A1 are slim to none. It sad but true and also the nature of our sport. With that said, I hope Millsaps is ok, he is one of my favorite riders.

CP is going to get a break-the whole SX season. I respect his reasons for not racing, but the show will go on without him, and a good one at that.

Life sentence is not a exaggeration. I can attest that life has never been the same since I ruptured and compressed 4 discs. Had the surgery to try and repair but that wasn't much help.

Just something you hate to see, especially Grant too. This was the last thing either of these guys needed. Wonder if they each can buy their own bikes and race the outdoors when they get cut by JGR and Honda.

I certainly hope they weren't hurt bad enough to miss any SX rounds, but If they were, then I would imagine their rides would be in jeopardy. Like I say, I hope not.

How? They have signed deals already, sure there might be fill in riders but they are still getting paid.

If you have a contract to race SX and outdoors, than you have a contract...this isn't tooball!
Or am I wrong? never heard of a rider being cut. A contract is a contract not like the NFL.

as far as being also rans, they are 2 of only a very very small handful of riders to win 450 SX races in the last 10 years. Its nice to see them out there, as is Josh Hill, the other rider who has won an SX and was really fun to see him in the mix, at one point in contention for the title. And how old are there, 21 at most!

They have just a little less speed the Reed and JS but they want to beat them, so they push it, and thus get injuries. Gotta respect they are unhappy not winning and push the envelope. On the other hand if they don't push it they get dissed for not achieving their potential, ie Millsapps. Or could it just simply be that RC, JS and CR have a bit more talent? These kids can't win either way!

Than you have a dude like Brayton, who never gets any flack, yeah he never gets hurt, bet will also never win a SX in his entire career.

I hope he is! He's a proven winner and the sport needs him on the line at A1. I know from experience though that compressed back problems just don't go away or heal very easily. That's the worst injury I've ever dealt with and deal with it every day now for almost 10 years. Best of luck to him.
