I tangled on the boards with both XMikeX and Mr.MotoPants. There's no reason I can think of why Pat would have told me that he was the latter persona and not the former after we got to know each other and we had a laugh about it. Maybe he was, I don't know, but I doubt it. And in any event I don't care one way or the other. As far as I know he hasn't been involved in the industry for quite a while, but I'd not be the one to know.
All this nonsense was 20 years ago.

I suggested to her it probably would not go well, and it did not. I have vague recollection that Alph or someone else tracked her down on some other non moto forum.
A lot of evil geniuses in the old looney crew. The whole forum thing was a smaller world then, and you could interact with "industrie" enough that some people (eg Rich Cain, Shyla) let their egos get carried away and think they were part of the show. The iPhone and social media kind of ruined that time.
