Cool to learn more about Beta. I wish we had as many dirtbuke brands in the US as Europe does. I just can't understand why we are not able to get smaller dirtbike companies off the ground (Cobra being the one exception).

Interesting that the dyno bike has a knobby tire.

It actually strikes me as reassuring that they're addressing warranty issues instead of telling customers to pound sand.

I have a friend that’s been in the business for over 20 years.  He says Beta is the best he has ever sold.  Says they are heads and tails better than any other brand as far as standing be hind their product.  He also said they are the best to deal with.

These guys really remind me of KTM 20 years ago. A small group of passionate riders/racers that supported boutique dealers and the customers.  I have been fortunate enough to visit KTM’s Amherst Oh location back when Rod Bush was still at the helm. Warranty requests were taken care of pretty much with no or minimal questions asked. Small dealers were valued. Really had the same vibes as this Beta location.

Hope these guys keep that passion and focus on customers vs trying to become the next VW/Audi type group like KTM did. The fact they assemble bespoke bikes factory direct tells me they have their priorities in order among other things!

yeah i don't see the issue. i have a buddy that got his engine warrantied this summer, he had the bike for 6 months and they still covered it. his dealer gave him a loaner bike because it did take a while to get done. Can't say ive seen other brands or dealers do that

Better then the Triumph thread saying that they’re not addressing transmission issues.

They were not warranty jobs, he said race engines

I’d like to see a 250 RX 4 stroke.  I read on face book they were testing one.  A reliable source said 2027 at the earliest if they go through with it.

And Jeoff Aaron just joined Beta. He is a very valuable addition.

They're not all warranty jobs but he did say that a lot of them are warranty jobs (right around 7:20).

aren't there enough 4-stroke 250 choices in the market already? Beta is doing a lot of things right, but they are still a far smaller company than the Japanese big 4. Would hate to see them stretch themselves too far by diluting their resources trying to make niche models for every preference if the potential market share achievable doesn't justify the investment.

I can’t say there are or aren’t enough 4-stroke 250’s on the market.  I can say this, Beta has a 250 4 stroke motor and frame.  A 250 4 stroke Beta RX would more than likely be a warmed over 2024 RR with a 19 and stiff suspension, which they already have.  So it’s not like they are starting from scratch.  I can also say 250 4 stroke bikes are popular and my guess off-road guys would be all over  a 4 stroke 250 RX, MX bike or not.

Combine above with the fact some are looking at the Austrian bikes with a bit squinted eye, parts availability and money problems.   Beta and others have a possible market horizon as we used to say in sales.

Beta also doesn’t require dealers to floor plan, dealers  buy the bikes they want to sell.  Dealers don’t get stuck with models they can’t move.  A new 4 stroke 250 RX wouldn’t seem to be a white elephant. But who know’s, like you said lots of 250’s in the market.

Aside from the emoji, my post was a verbatim quote. I don't know how often engines come in for warranty and I don't know how well Beta takes care of its customers. I have friends with Betas who are very happy. Furthermore, having spent an important part of my life in the Paso Robles area, I'm cheering for Beta USA as a "local business". But from a marketing perspective it struck me as odd that a statement like wasn't edited out of a promotional video. It can be interpreted in a couple of different ways but you generally want to control the narrative in an unequivocal way.

Whatevs.

Ya I am surprised they did not edit that out, I had to relisten to hear it,  all I caught first time was race engines.
