Dang! I hate seeing that!

From the comments it sounds like he is in a coma.

OMG!! What trick was he trying there? Looked like that trick that 199 tried at xgames and crashed. It looked like the guy just hucked off the ramp and decided to spin and flip as much as possible and pray his rotations stopped at the right time. I know that's not the case but that was insane. I don't know who those guys in Bercy were but they were pulling some insanity on that ramp. I hope he's ok..

That was a horrible hit to the head.
I hope he makes a full recovery.
Looked like he almost had it if he was going slower.

Very very hard to see.

FMX is like the old Roman gladiators in the coliseum, fighting or riding till someone gets killed.
I hate to see crashes like that

These riders have to come together at some point and just say hey its not worth trying the front flip. This maybe the straw that broke the camels back for most riders when it comes to doing this trick. Just to many varibles to pull it consistently, and the stakes are to high when it goes wrong.

I pray that he is going to be able to fully recover from that crash, I also pray no one else tries it again. Its just not worth your life guys no matter how cool it looks when its completed.

News of Charles Pagès. Charles is at present looked after in neuro-surgery. Victim of a cranial trauma, its health is stabilized. He will be maintained in an artificial coma for the next 24 hours. Charles suffers no fracture.

Charles Pages lands first front flip

I agree, the margins of error are just too narrow for shit like that - is a lifetime of disability or even death really worth it? But then again, I guess the same was said about the backflip which has almost become so commonplace that it's almost boring to watch now, and before that Evil Knieval's stuff

I kind of feel the same way man. Having tried front flips on bicycles, doing that on a dirtbike over 75 feet or so is just so gnarly, there is no way to fully tame that trick (imo)

That hit made TJ Lavin's hit look like he landed on a pillow. The only one I have seen do the frontflip consistently is Jacko Strong. He has done them cleanly and successfully at every stop of the Crusty Tour.....Turbo

Not that I have ever tried a front or a back flip, I would think a back flip is easier and not as dangerous because you can atleast spot the landing. The front flip will be a trick that will separate the men from the really manly men if guys continue to do it. But it still seems to be to risky and the margin for error to small for what is at stake.

I won't watch this myself, but I understand the passion athletes, explorers and others have to achieve their goals. Sometimes, however, discretion is the better part of valor. I sincerely hope he recovers.

Not going to watch it. From what you guys are saying, I will take it at that. It is of my opinion that the front flip needs to be outlawed in FMX competition as soon as possible. Hope he makes a full recovery and never tries it again...

If your going to outlaw the frontflip why dont you outlaw the sport because with no progression there is no fmx.

The riders need more time in the foam pit before they put it to dirt.

I didn't see it the first time, and won't watch it here. Why would you want to see someone getting hurt? Some of you must want to feed your sick side.
