Who do you think the coolest rider of all time is? Not the winningest or fastest. We all had that one hero who made us want to be a racer.
This betrays my age, but I'd have to say Johnny O'Mara. This dude seems to epitomize everything that was awesome about racing motocross. Impeccable style on the bike, winning championships and seeming to have a blast doing it. Sports cars and hot girlfriends to boot from what I could see. Then goes on to a successful mountain bike and training career and is always on the top of his game.
Riders like JS7, RJ, McGrath, Bailey, Marty Smith...the list goes on. But I'm old. Curious as to opinions.

Jimmy Weinert...probably just because I used to ride at his facility in NC a few years back. Super friendly, and he would always make it a point to go to every pit and ask how the track was, and if there was anything he needed to fix. Of all the tracks I've been to on the east and west coast, he was the only owner that would do that.

Loving these answers! I still think that the 80s was coolest, but that was my heydey when all that mattered was riding. I need to get back to that!
