So you can pay...but you have no say in who's on your team .... I find that quite strange.....
Like the Gabriel SS24 team, no British riders in 2025 and the Hutten Metaal team, no Dutch riders for 2026. This stuff happens every year across the paddock.
It’s not that they have no say. Ktm just have most say in a few of the factory supported teams.
What would be the 2026 line up for SS24 KTM team?
And where will go Oliver (MXGP category) next year?
Doensen Emx Oliver mxgp
As Gabriel SS24 was set up as KTM Factory Juniors, with Doesen and Werner to do EMX, and British, and Oliver was parachuted in when Werner was sidelined early season, i wonder how that will work. While this was an all 250 effort, it worked, but now that makes it more effort all round.
If Oliver is retained , the British MX1 is suddenly looking a lot deeper , with him, rumour of Watson , and Bobby Bruce all moving up to join Mewse, Sterry and Gilbert .
Oliver will do the British Championship in MX1 (Source Gatedrop), unsure on what else
It will be interesting to see how many British Championship races Herlings gets to do , he likes to come and do them and he did say that he was hoping to do some in 2026, if the calendar allowed.
All of 2026 British will be Livestreamed again, which is good, and while we have dates, and venues, there isnt a list that ties one to the other just yet. Opening round at Lyng would be my choice, else there will be 2 big Hawkstone meetings on the bounce, which worked last year to be fair, but i think Lyng early doors is better, or Canada Heights which used to get Round 1 back in the day.
Herlings signing up for Hawkstone surprised me. I’ll explain why. As far as I’m aware the Gariboldi HRC team have never raced Hawkstone. Gasjer certainly hasn’t. I always put it done to travel costs. If Herlings has signed for HRC, is he gonna be based in the Netherlands or Italy? Is he gonna be able to do as he pleased like at KTM? Will Honda Europe going to let Herlings have his Red Bull sponsorship ie; Helmet? Does he lose his Oakley sponsorship? So many questions.
He needs gatedrops, and ones that mean something, i think it will be part of his deal that he races where he wants, i dont recall Gajser doing many races other than in Italy as you say.
I expect him to be at Hawkstone too, because where else will there be that early in the year?
Italy and France...
The British is looking very healthy this year, I’d say it’s the best it’s been in a while
A rider like herlings or Gajser can do whatever they want. They have all freedom to race where they want like pre season races
Herlings will be fox head to toe, no redbull but other energy drink, as team deal
What races are on that day? What is Febvre coming to the UK for if there is a race in France.
Pit Row
Herlings stays with Oakley for 2026/27
Your information is wrong, Herlings will run Oakley goggles.
Monster Energy deal, it seems...
We'll have to wait and see to know the calendar, but there will be international events in Italy and France in february 2026. As usual...
With the worldchampionship starting in the weekend of 20-22 February, I doubt there will be much room for a lot of international races before the season starts. Maybe 2 or 3.
Some events could be positionned on the same dates...
Thats not unusual, but do you go and find out where you are , or ride against a lesser field and still have no idea.
I'm sure it's a mutual decision...probably consent needed from KTM, not to be unreasonably withheld.

KTM keeping (moving up) Katona instead of 125champ Alvisi?
What I don't understand is the fact that Yamaha Europe is keeping Hutten, who got convicted to doing 60 hours community service in the "Jumbo-Case". If you know Yamaha their history, they mostly want to stay as clean and holy as the pope, this resulted also in choosing for Rinaldi instead of De Carli because they didn't trusted the financial backers from De Carli.
