Would you say that prime Herlings is slower than prime Everts just because he don’t have the same number of titles?.
Technique and training evolve, RC raised the training part, Jett has raised the riding part and the people that don’t acknowledge him as the best rider to ever swing his leg over a bike seems pretty blind.
When both Herlings, RC, JS, Reed and plenty of others say it, some of the fans should be able to see that to.
That’s because those 3 depleted them.
That’s how domination works.
You dominate and then the dominated are remembered as not being competitive..
Plenty of fields have been just as weak that have battled hard and have been remembered as a good year. Take the recent years with MM93 on poor machinery and injury in the moto gp as example. We all thought the racing was amazing and had elevated.
Turns out the king was asleep.
Now looking back on those years you realise we were watching the B teams battle all along.
Like last year when Jett was out on motocross we all thought Sexton was next level and the racing was great. We couldn’t wait to see the new and improved Sexton take down Jett.
Jett had other ideas. Jett has dominated Sexton in every way both before and after the so called “breakout year”.
I agree with this
RC was the first person to ever have a perfect season. He didn't just win championships. He won races and dominated them.
And, my original point was not that RC would automaticall beat Jett, it was that comparing RC to Eli as proof that Jett would win is ridiculous.

Jett is at a level that i don’t believe that you can beat him by just hammer down. You need to be even more smooth and efficient and RC was never that guy.
Well we disagree. Ricky had 76 overalls in big bike wins outdoors. Next closest is Dungey with 39. That's damn near double the next closest person.
RC had 26 overalls on little bike. Jett had 14 .
Maybe Jett beats him. But it's only a maybe. And just because Jett beat Eli does not mean he'd have anything for the GOAT.
ahhhhhh this a tuff 1 for me , if we talking just for 4 motos im taking RC ,altho jett is a combination of everybody mentioned into 1 human athlete, Jett is like a tom brady , u can get him in a moto here & there but it’s hard to bet against him for a full complete championship series, but just for individual motos , I don’t see anybody stopping RC in just a random individual moto type scenario
I'd like prime JS7 to win but probably another boring season for carmichael
If its a series, I think peak RC would win and lose a few of the first races to a variety of people in this hypothetical field.
But by 2/3 of the way through the series he would find the formula to consistently just beat the shit out of everybody. That's just his MO.

Hard not to say Rc with how dominating he was. But, seems like Jett just does “just enough” to win. I’d say just to win titles but his rookie season showed that wasn’t the case.
These discussions can be fun, but to not have a guy in the discussion for greatest GP racer of all time included here is criminal.

I'd say RC all day. He could ride uncomfortable and rise to the ocassion. The guy in his prime was almost unbeatble. He definitely didn't do it on talent, like Jett. He did it on grit...he never loved winning, but holy crap, he hated losing. RC would just win.
