Bernardini never was a top 5 rider. He won one race in the deep mud of Indonesia, and that's about it.

Mikula did pretty good everything considered with the TM this season. But that team also didn't had the budget to do the last 3 GP's. I don't think that Valk's goal is to miss the overseas because of budget constraints. And because of that, a decent result in the championship. Going from semifactory KTM to factory TM is a downgrade in every possible way, don't make yourself any illusions.

He did pretty good IMO and i checked the results and was around 5 to 8 place most of the time.

For that bike i think he did good but obviously he didnt set the world on fire.

You are right about Valk but maybe he doesnt have any other interesting options.

He is riding WEC, and doing very well.

Sounded like KTM/papa Valk were not on the same page with a few things. Maybe KTM overpromised, maybe not, but sounds like they needed to split. The TM situation could be very good for Cas if he does well. Just hope the bike is good enough.

Well from what I hear, the salary and bonus structure is not that bad for a rider with Valks results so far. Everyone I have spoken to says the bike should be pretty good. KTM factory for sure is the factory to ride for. But for the lower teams, maybe not.

Yaa I remember seeing him around those positions a lot and I’d follow him and his results because of the TM he was riding lol

7-10-8-12-21-8-5-6-7-9-11-15-20-6-6-6-10-7-7-11-13-13-13-20-10-6-8-19-4-6-out-7-16-9-13-10 in 2016. Ended up 8th overall, his best result ever.

5-23-8-1-14-12-13-19-22-8-out-16-15-31-18-17 in 2017. The 8-1 was in the mud. Only raced in 8 out of 19 GP's.

15-17-21-20-9-16-12-17-17-12-14-16-7-14-8-out-out-17-11-out-out-16 in 2018. Left TM after 11 GP's and ended the season on a Ghidinelli Yamaha.

So that's 4 top 5 results in 4 seasons, one of them in a mud race.

All this TM/Valk talk is super interesting to me, hope it happens. I think the bike looked pretty decent in terms of performance with Mikula.

I think for TM it is very exciting, Valk is an upgrade over Mikula. And as a casual fan it's nice to have a rider that has gotten top 3 before on a different brand as well.

I would say it is safe to say Valk isnt on KTM/HQV shortlist for the near future, so it will be interesting to see if he can get interest from the Triumph, Honda, Kawa and Yamaha factory teams. And also what he has to show on the TM to get interest from these factories.

I would think that if the father is a pain in the ass, the other teams you mention will be well aware. And it's possibly why he's on a TM and not a Triumph...

Went to Enduro and was just on the winning ISDE team.

I've also heard two other things. Lewis had a rumour that Yamaha Brasil is interested to have him ride over there. The other thing is a privateer setup on a KTM 350

It's pretty crazy how quickly his career has derailed after moving up to the 450. Many reasons for it, some out of his control.

It is! On top of that, the current climate in MXGP isn't working for him either. A lot of guys are still racing late in their 30s. I agree that his 450 career so far is not going well, but he won a qualifying moto this year. And he did really well at his debut in Red Bud MXON.

Privateering it on a 350 would be very interesting to see...

Pancar kinda proves the privateer route is possible in MXGP.

Pancar is as privateer as it can get in these times. Just him, his girlfriend who preps his goggles and his dad, who drives the van and is the mechanic. If Geerts goes privateer, I doubt he will go that kind of privateer. He still has some powerful personal sponsors.

I can't believe what Pancar said to Gatedrop in Ironman...

He still has no perspective to join a team to compete in 2026 MXGP World Championship ! If nothing changes, he will once again have to go to the trully privateer route...

Totally unfair after such a strong 2025 season.

What I wanna know is, how does Pancer manage to race the flyaway races when he is a true privateer? Does his family have money?

I would imagine that its not that he cant get a ride at a team, but the issue is that is financially not attractive to give up his current setup.

I love what Pancar is doing, so dont get me wrong.. But i kind of understand why he's not on a shortlist for a big offer from a factory team.
He did 39 motos this year in MXGP. 38 he finished outside of top 5 and 29 he finished outside of top 10.

His main sponsor for years is TEM Catez, a production company in Slovenia whom create switches and lighting solutions

Company - TEM Čatež d. o. o.

I know that a couple of months ago some teams showed interest, but apparently the father only wants to go to a (good) factory team.

Obviously i'm not sure if it's the truth, but they deserve a shot in my opinion.

If he goes full factory, I guess he's a Brian Bogers kind of rider. A very small chance of a GP win, a podium if he's healthy and it's his kind of track, top 8 on a regular good weekend, top 10-15 on most occasions. Not that much of a difference as he scores now (disregarded the chance of podiums), so if he doesn't gain that much financially and structurally, I can understand it's the best for him to continue working like he has this season.

2021-2022-2023-2024-2025 means five seasons, and he'll turn 21 next week. But to state he's "scared" is just ridiculous. He was obviously trying to get that second MX2 title, meaning he would have to go to MXGP anyway, so cesar_rc4's statement makes no sense at all. As long as he's allowed to race in MX2, why not.

His talent and his speed fits more in mxgp in my eyes.

Well, there you've got your answer. De Wolf moves up to MXGP with Nestaan Husqvarna, regardless he did'nt take his second MX2-title this year.

That a good move IMO.

Next MXGP season its going to be amazing.

He did good races in 450 in holland. Sure he has the speed and its ready for the challenge.

100% agree. De Wolf just went 2-1 to beat Herlings at Valkenswaard on the 450. That's very impressive for his "debut" 450 race.
