How about a grouchy old guy forum with a password and secret handshake so we all have someplace to go to complain.

granted some people go off the handle on hate for 4strokes but not everything 2stroke related has to be "old school" or "for crazies". Some of it is just straight up moto...

No, moto is moto

Period

Doesn't matter how you stroke it, it's still moto

I think we should. I agree that the old 2-stroke vs 4 is beating a dead horse in the main forum. Even though I'm for a 2-stroke comeback, I think it has run its course.

There you go again, trying to marginalize traditionalists.

No one would hang out in there. What is the fun if everyone agrees, these guys like to do their shtick out where it gets the most reaction.

Maybe a 2-stroke vs. 4-stroke forum. Not just a 2-stroke forum because there will be no arguments if everyone agrees on everything.

People that favor the two strokes have obviously been around the sport for a while. Probably moreso than the ones who cling to the 4 stroke saved the world mentality. Makes us a higher quality bunch, more edumacated about all things moto related. Higher income per household I'd bet. The kind of demographic you want here! Don't piss us off.Smile

I think the point is to avoid the arguments.

2 stroke purists are harmless. They love moto too, just want it done with a ringadingding.

4 strokes never completely went away in motocross. There would be the odd 4 stroke here and there in the 500 GPs in the 70s and 80s and then in the 90s they began to once again dominate in the 500 GPs. Its cyclical and who knows, 2 strokes may be back someday in pro moto . But if not whatever, anything moto is still good no matter what the stroke.
