Need suggestions on wider bars for my Beta 300

I need to go a little wider on my handlebars so I can fit a mirror on there to dual plate it. I'm fine with the stock bend and rise but not sure what brand/model to look for to order similar- only a little wider than the Stock width 31"

Any suggestions would be helpful

This just a guess cause most wider bars from what I know aren’t all that much wider.  In fact the stock bars on my Beta 300 RX are a half inch wider than the Windham ProTapers on two other bikes in my garage.  The stock bars on my Beta are 32 1/2 inch.  I think the stock 300 RX bars are about as wide as you going to find for dirt bike bars.  But that just my best guess.

I've never used them but the Pro Taper ACF bars are supposed to have more room on each end for controls while keeping the same overall bar width.

There are some bends with longer control room length, that's what you want. Longer bars do not mean more control room length. Renthal has a good chart for their bars, 827 for example has 222mm which is longer then most while still being 811mm wide.

The Pro Taper ACF says all of their bends have 220mm of CONTROL area. That should...should...be sufficient to add most of what you'd want on a bar including a mirror. You won't have any issues.

For what it's worth... our bar has 220mm (control area) as well. Happy to help with any questions and that means with any brand of bar. I spend a lot of time looking at bends, so ask away if you need.

Just make sure you're looking at all of the specs for the style of riding you're doing and not purely focused on the amount of space you need for a mirror. There is always a way to make it all work.

thanks guys. Some good info and food for thought here. This is the 1st bike in my life that had taper bars with no crossbar- My formative riding years everything was 36" wide with 5" rise to crossbar 🙃 I actually really like the Beta rider's triangle now after some tweaks and adjustments so was looking for as much of a plug and play solution as possible. I also looked at 2026 Beta product lineup and noticed they moved the ignition map switch to center of handle bars on the clamp. Started playing with the idea of looking for that re-mounting solution to move my map button and use that space on bars for the mirror clamp. Decisions, decisions...

I believe the original poster has an RR Beta. The RX has significantly wider bars than a RR.

actually, it's a 2022 X-Trainer 2T. I'm old and short and this bike fit my needs for woods riding and fire roading, etc. Auto oil injection like my old Yamaha enduros I grew up with, but also electric start ignition maps, adjustable power valve and clutch feel was just enough tech for my liking.

I’ve used this setup on every one of my bikes I need to get street legal. Run the clamp around the round part of your clutch master cylinder. If there’s a little gap you can shim it with some strips of rubber. Easy peasy, and, you can fold it down out of harms way when you go onto the trails.  No need to move any of your controls

Thank You! Might be the perfect solution for me. A friend of mine said 2 of his Austrian bikes (KTM & HUS) came stock with some type of clamp on but had no idea where to get them.

Check super mini bars. They are wide but have the curve further up the bar

Here's my solution for Narrow bars packed, with the Legalities : 20250929 20120920250929 200555.jpg?VersionId=ie4DS

Pics of both sides, while folded down.

I've run 29" wide bars for decades now, on Bikes that are plated,  with Everything on them to have them Legal All The Bloody Time.

For a long time, I thought, wrongly, that having a Mirror only on the RH side ( we drive on the left here in OZ) was A OK, but, the Cops, looking for Any Way to 'ping' you, have been doing people for Not having 2 mirrors. So, 2 now, always. You can see one of the blinkers I have fitted, always - I don't want to contribute to the Gov't coffers, nor lose points for such 'infringements'.

I've Brembo MCylinders both sides, so have horizontal clamps - both with Kill or ES buttons on them. And, with Twin Walls - should have stuck with 7/8ths - my LH switch gear, the double levers on the left ( Clutch and LHRB ) , well, there's No room for clamp on levers like the Acerbis mirrors, that I used to use, years ago. Heck, you can see the MCylinder clamps are right up against the Twin Wall rubbers .

One day, I'll take the bars off, roll the rubbers back, and put the bars in my lathe to shorten the interface between the larger diameter section, and the 7/8ths - I think I can get around 10 /12mm more of bar 'cut down' either side with that. But, it's bit 'hairy' mounting bars in a Lathe............🤪

For vertical MC / Lever clamps, well,  bits of Right Angle Aluminium could be used.

So, into the scrap bin, find a couple of suitable 'bits', cut, drilled and tapped to take  RAM Ball mounts, to use the ( mid length?, round head) Double Take mirrors, and I'm Legal As. Oh, and longer clamp bolts.

And it takes but a few seconds to put the Mirrors up, or down, completely out of the way. Though,  I've even forgotten to take them off in the (very few now) enduros I've done in the last few years. Old Age and Idiocy is setting in.

In this type set-up…back in the day…on a KDX 200…I mounted the mirror by drilling and tapping into my brush-guards.

I did to get the damn mirror out of the way of all my controls. 🤣

Do you want legit mirrors or trying to check the box to get the plate?

What do you have on your bars right now that's preventing you from adding a mirror?

Assuming you're plating for trail access in Colorado? Street riding on the xtrainer is miserable if on asphalt/concrete.

checking the box for plating. I have trails near me in 3 directions 2-4 miles away. Sometimes I just want to jump on the bike and head out for a little trail ride instead of hooking up my trailer or loading in the truck. Bike has been sitting for 1 year now without being ridden. Don't always have buddies available to go with. Weather sucks 1/2 the year. The stock bars and controls on the bike now and zero room to add a clamp base for a real mirror, so ordered 1 of the Acerbis for 20 bucks as a stop gap for now to get my fix when needed 😁 Still have friends in SoCal I can visit with my bike and plated is better for riding there if I do.
