Kay did the same thing as Deegan in two motos. Perhaps not as over the top but he took his main title rival out in two motos and rammed him multiple times. I’m sure most of you didn’t watch it but it’s still funny non the less.

I disagree it was the same as Deegan. Actually not close.  The second moto was the greasier of the moves, but he only had one. First moto moves were in bounds.

Kay was aggressive, yes.

But not anywhere close to “Deegan Dirty” imo.

Karma got ‘em both, in proportion too!

Yeah not the same imo, de Wolf, like Deegan made his intentions clear at the start of each moto, but that’s where the similarities end. Kay’s actions were racing forward against Simon and taking his line away, albeit aggressively.

Edit: let’s not forget that this was for a genuine world title too, not for whatever Deegan was trying to achieve.

Yeah I watched. Used to not really like or dislike de wolf, thought his style was cool but after his antics & some of his interviews the last year or so I’m not a fan. Seems him & Deegan drink the same kool aid.

Just go win. Sexton did it in sx. Lost title by 2 points. We never see this in the big dawg class.

Last night why didn’t Hunter just slow up & blasted Jett on the last lap?

People tend to forget what Laengefelder did to de Wolf last year in Turkey.. while being way out of the Championship.

So I'll give Kay a pass for his actions this weekend. Laengefelder deserved the championship though, amazing season. Obviously I would have loved to see de Wolf win it, but Laengefelder was the most consistent in a class where 10 riders could win a moto

I just watched it. That was a qualifying race for turkey 2024. Simon Definitely came into the corner hot. Was/Is there some lingering animosity between them?

But I still stand by my perspective. If you need to put your opponent on the ground to win a world championship you are not the faster rider. Period!

To be honest, I have no idea why Simon did that back then in 2024. Maybe they had a few other run ins that year. I do know he did some other questionable things that year (actually watch the qualifying highlights Turkey 2024 where he went for a Honda HRC rider his front wheel on the pitlane straight).

But I do agree that his actions were harsh yesterday, especially moto 1 was a hard hit.  Moto 2 was 'smart'. I would have done the same in that case.

Kay let himself down a little yesterday. Sure, they have history and it was for a title, but a little bump and run would have probably sufficed. Trying to knock him down at the start of a race while up front is just bloody dangerous.

I’d rather race 3 races and win 500k then make no money and be a world champion 😂😂😂

Yep, this bill was still open, and as KDW promised last year, he would get it back sooner or later

I didn't mind the two takeouts. First one in Moto 1 was probably 60% on simon for not slowing down. But at the start of the first Moto he moved over on the downhill, that could have ended badly.

I wanted Langenfelder to win but what Kay did should be expected for a championship. Completely different to constantly slowing down and letting someone by to take shots at them

I actually don’t understand that Laengenfelder didn’t rode any smarter…

I think the attempt in lap 1 was the most dirty and aggressive one.

Yeah dont agree, i dont think this would have happened if the championship was allready decided. If de wolf wanted to pay back for turkey he had a whole season to do it and he didnt. This weekend was about winning the title, nothing more, nothing less.

agreed on the first one that Simon should have slowed down and is also a situation that happens quite often even when there is not championship on the line. The second one was far from a racing incident though and i found it quite weak from de Wolf.

Like someone else said, Kay definitely let himself down and probably lost some respect, but to put him in the same conversation as Diaper Boy is a bit of a stretch.

I like de Wolf but Simone won the title fair & square and deserved to.
