To get on here and act like Deegan didn’t just put on a clinic is ridiculous. The kid deserves some hate, but did you see some of those passes? The dude crashes in the sand, landing on another rider, gets up, and still manages to almost catch Jo. 1 more lap and it would’ve been a crazy battle for 1st.
Nothing about hoping Ryder D’s OK. Why would we expect anything less…

No, SMX uses olympic scoring, so the better second moto is all that matters, there is no extra point for getting first in moto 1 as is the case in motocross.
So in this case, both 1-3 and 2-2 add up to 4, but 2-2 has better second moto and thus finishes higher than 1-3.

1-3 beats a 2-2, yes. Same score but tie breaker is the better finish in SMX and in MX 1-3 beats a 2-2 because 25+20 = 45 and 22+22 = 44.
So….zero doubt Deegan tries to get behind Jo at some point, even letting him by, and put him down. He’ll try to do it in a way that makes it hard for the AMA to take it away without an outcry.
