There's no tariff on Vargs. Stark Future is absorbing the charge. 1.2's are delivering now.

The 1.2 is pretty sweet. I have had the 1.0 over year now and was really happy with it, but since riding few weeks with the new one, I feel I need to buy one. It has more range, more power with same setting, better phone and suspension is bit firmer. Last weekend we had a Kia EV3 with V2L (vehicle to load) ability which made charging so easy at track. The car pumped out 3600w and Stark can take up to 3200w. Soon most of ev’s and hybrids (like Ford ranger here in Europe) have this feature and we don’t have to rely on generators on track or anywhere.

Is there any hope for a groundbreaking new battery tech in the years to come?

I feel like it's been ages now with no significant progress. Might be fine for motocross doing a few sessions during the day but for enduro we're gonna need much more battery life to ride without being afraid of running out of juice in the middle of nowhere

It's called "marketing". Remember that they also told you that the new battery tech would be retrofitable to the older , existing bikes.  Did you also believe Kawasaki when they said (implied) that they would be coming out with a new 2-stroke MX bike?

That’s awesome for folks close enough to a track for a evs range to even get you there, let alone there and back and charge your dirtbike lmaooooo

If your track is within about an hour or hour and half you should be ok, charging the bike shouldn't take too much out of the vehicle battery.

Yea , they took the tariffs down, so I ordered the 1.2 . $12499 to the door for the alpha.  Not that bad .

Fully charging the Varg takes about 10% of a car battery. And some countries like Finland (where half of the cars sold are electrics or plug-in hybrids) have some real charging infrastructure.
