Tried to tell you all and got a bunch of thumbs down..... maybe next time someone makes a relatively easy shot with a rifle people won't start speculating that it's a professional just because they haven't done it themselves? Probably the same people that think assault rifles are a thing and ARs are "high powered"

I had to educate several people on this as well.  Told them they could easily hit 200 yards with an optic like that even if they'd never shot a gun before, very easy.  200 yards is nothing considering you can shoot 100 yards pretty well with iron sights.  At our range we can shoot up to 600 yards and it starts getting a little tricky around 400-500 yards.  Still though, we can hit 600 yards pretty often with not trying too hard if not windy once everything is sighted in.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting the guy to dump the gun in the woods then go running his mouth about it. Etching some video game stuff and jokes on the casings is next level dumb, goes to show video games will rot your brain. Still he did pick the right gun for the task, like I said he didn't go out and buy a 223 that day and go spraying bullets into the crowd which is what I expected when I heard about it before seeing the video.

It's tragically ironic that our back and forth about guns vs knives a couple weeks ago played out in real life and we were kinda both right. Too much murder of innocent people, real societal entropy.

How many political murders and attempts have been there in the USA the last year? Both on democrats (Melissa Hortman, John Hoffman...) as on republicans (Trump, Kirk...) The nation is divided and Trump will not fix it. He doesn't even mention attacks on democrats. He uses and put a magnifier on the attacks on ICE, attacks or planned attacks on republicans or attacks from illegals on Americans. This because fear and anger will keep him in his seat (maybe even after his term) and with that angry and hatred carrying narrative about those events he can send the attention away from the Epstein Files.

I read that the regular American says: "This isn't who we are, we are the country of freedom of speech", but if it happens so often. When "lone wolves" going on killing spree with a list of democrats in their car or with republican thinking people on their kill list. Maybe than it is time to wake up, and look in the mirror. Because what triggers all those lone wolves? Is it the rhetoric of that crazy extreme left wing democrats such as that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez b**tch or is it the rhetoric of the right wing president who speaks before he thinks.

125 yards is easy work, even with a .22

Circumstances made the task a bit challenging. Tad more pressure/stress than a day at the range.  Likely didn’t have much time to dial it in.  And constant concern about getting caught before, during, and after the event.  Not sniper-level performance but shows experience with a rifle.

This is the only thing that I find suspicious, the gun would have to be disassembled to fit in that bag that he had when he jumped off the building. From what I hear, disassembling a gun like that is a pretty extensive process, but he did it before loading it into the bag and jumping off the roof.  Then they found the gun completely assembled a few days later. Could be nothing. Just seems strange. Screenshot 20250913 091723 Samsung Internet

Some of the home security camera footage shows him walking awkwardly or with a limp. Speculation is he had the thing stuffed down his pants. Maybe the backpack was just to cover up the part sticking out. The footage jumping off the roof after doesn't show it great but there's a few frames where you can see him carrying something long. Doubt it was ever disassembled.

The past 3 days have been a wide range of emotion, Sad, angry, worried about copy-cat shootings. I feel so bad for Charlie's family and friends, I also feel so bad for the shooters family, they will get a lot of hate and be remembered for the wrong reason because of their selfish child. I think its time for people to remember that we are Americans 1st. Not Republican or Democrats 1st. The divide in this country is getting deeper. We can have different opinions without hating each other for it.

The video i saw of him running through the parking lot looked like he was carrying a gun in a towel.

I'd say it's pretty clear the shooter was consuming marxist / antifa esque propoganda, and decided to take up their fight for himself.

You start off comparing two democrats murdered by a Democrat to Charlie being murdered….This tells me you have absolutely no idea what’s going on….

Take some time to really think independently about this…aka use your critical thinking skill..Your better than this ..

I see the guy who posted and claimed about jumping to conclusions is just as bad as celebrating the death has deleted his post.  Good, because that was complete garbage.

Regarding jumping to conclusions about which "party"....I can't believe the stupidity of the thousands of people and media who try to focus on which party one was raised with, or which party one is registered to.  This is completely irrelevant as it's clear the shooter was radicalized based on his "Hey Fascist, Catch!" engraving on his bullet casing.   It's very clear where that rhetoric came from and they've done their job to brainwash another lost kid.  It's also pretty clear you don't go assassinate people you support or align with, so he was clearly radicalized in recent years.

The facts are all that matter:
- The kid was described as becoming "more political" in recent years which means he was going in the opposite direction of his family.  I know a conservative family who's dealing with the same issue with their kid and that's exactly how they describe her as she gets brainwashed in school.   They don't understand how she could possibly be falling for it, but it's real and happens every day as it did with Tyler Robinson.  It was the "fascist" rhetoric that got Tyler.

-The kid said Charlie is "spreading hate" and told everyone at dinner he did not like Charlie's conservative viewpoints.  Well, where else have you seen the "spreading hate" rhetoric coming from in recent years?  This one also got Tyler.  Anyone here who disagrees can feel free to share videos of Charlie Kirk "spreading hate".  There are thousands of videos out there of him doing his thing, and it's definitely not spreading hate.

Regarding any people or media who think a "registered party" or "raised in a party" is relevant...do you not think it's possible for a kid to register and donate to the party he's going to assassinate just to save face of his opposing party, knowing that half the dumbasses on the planet will fall for it?  Wake up people.

Yeah, can you imagine if Rachael Maddow (sorry Charlie for the comparison, it's the best I could think of) was assassinated extremely publicly, and the bullets had engravings such as "catch this commie" and "woke shit head". Do you think the media would be so cautious as they have been that "the political motivation or leanings of the shooter are unclear".

Can’t imagine what it would be like to be the father of the shooter. Without reading too much, seems like a normal home life. I would be devastated.

Did you see what I typed above?  Do you really think that matters?  What if the kid registered and donated to the party he was going to assassinate just to f*ck with dumb people like yourself?  You are one of the clueless people who fell for it.....

It appears the media is getting the shot distance wrong claiming close to 200 yards.  Based on my armchair detective work, this shot was no longer than 140 yards, which makes it a very easy shot, even more-so than an easy 200 yard shot.  Feel free to measure in Google Earth yourselves to verify, but here it is.  The blue arrow identifies the direction where the cell phone video was taken that shows the shooter laying on the roof.  The red arrow is where he ran and jumped off the building onto the grass, and the yellow is the 128m shot path.  Go ahead and measure this yourself, it's 140 yards MAX.  Super easy shot.

What if he was a registered republican and true supporter but then he stopped being that and went full on the other direction?

Insane to me that we're debating the political leanings of someone who committed an assassination of someone solely because of the target's political speech. You really don't have to search very hard and dig into someone's past to figure this one out.... it's not a mystery..... I don't think he killed kirk because he stole his girlfriend or something.....

I'm not going to jump to conclusions until this is confirmed....but what I will say is, don't tell me the roommate thought Tyler's messages about retrieving a rifle was a joke.  I would be willing to wager that the roommate and had knowledge of this and could have possibly been in on this given  Tyler sent him a private discord message about the rifle that was hidden in the bushes.  Why would you send your roommate a message regarding something he as completely unaware of?  Doesn't add up to me..

This plot could thicken....

I doubt that Charlie Kirk was murdered because of what he said or did, because he was actually pretty reasonable, even if you disagreed with him. He was murdered because of what he represented. The killer, apparently, saw him as a fascist. Charlie wasn’t organizing groups of militants to intimidate and assault political opponents. That’s what fascists do and Charlie wasn’t doing that. But that didn’t stop the intellectually lazy from labeling him as a fascist, and the person who killed him engraved that word onto the shell casing of a bullet. In the shooter’s mind, that label defined Charlie so thoroughly that was worth killing him. He wasn’t looking at an individual with a wife and children. He was looking at a representative of an abstract concept - one that didn’t even come close to fitting. He was an individual, not an abstraction.

Labels can be dangerous - whether from the right or left. Charlie argued against people’s ideas. He didn’t label them, from what I saw - he asked them what they thought and he engaged that. That’s difficult - much more difficult than throwing out a label. We should all learn from him and be more like Charlie and do what is more difficult, but more honest and respectful.

This country has never been more divided and had such a terrible mental healthcare system at the same time. Kids with mental issues are terminally online stuck in echo chambers and committing atrocities, left and right.

Hasn’t there been enough bullshit information? Why can’t we all just wait and let LE do their job with an investigation.  Then we will all know.

Except for half of us I suppose who dont hear what they want…..
