Pourcel sitting out 2011 would suck. Pourcel and Townley are two riders who both can race in the top 3. The 450 class is already getting watered down before the season starts.

I think you hit the nail on the head, he thought he could easily beat those kids as he called them, but those kids got faster and more experienced this year, especially Canard. I think at least one of his big crashes was due to trying to match Trey's increased speed.

I think you're mistaken about DV on that one. They know each other and hang out sometimes. I'm sure DV told him every single word from this quote personally.

On our french forum, we asked him if he managed to give him advices sometimes (CP is known to be stubborn), he said he tried, but CP hears you but never listens to what you say and prefers to do his own thing.



And honestly with the amount CP asked for, I'm not even sure CP was an option for Motoconcepts...

By the way the article also says that he could get a team together with Le Top racing which had French guys this year if things turn to the worse.

From the different itw he did he sounded pretty motivated about next year. I can't see him taking the year off

I have no interest to make DV a moto smartass, but It's not because he talked too much once (the Goerke thing) everybody have to bash him everytime he says something. I just said they know each other, CP probably knows what DV thinks of his move, and no, as a consequence, this is not a stab in the back...

And this is not a secret that CP is stubborn and can't see why it would had fuel the anti CP sentiment. Is being stubborn a crime?

It's reality in Europe cause it's being paid for. It won't happen on green here till PC can be the factory effort..... not a second team and it will have to make sense financially for PC IMHO.

After no other team would meet his demand of 50 Mil for 5 years , A humiliated VJ will report to the Chargers and play the final six games, for a total of 204 thousand dollars for the rest of the season, or 34K a game.

Jackson is a great player, but a real dickhead off the field. No outside sponsors are lining up to buy his endorsment for anything.

Point is, sometimes Greed can backfire on a guy. If CP sits out next year he won't be doing himself any favors.

You must either not be a big fan, or you are young, DV has always been one of the nicest guys in the sport, he also isn't trying to be a attention whore. The cobra seems to keep to himself and simply speek his mind.

If Chris sits out 2011, that will just effin suck, i cant say that enough...

In my opinion, he is the one new up and comer to the class that i want to watch, he bringss something special to the game although i am not even sure what it is, it is there, and its undeniable...

Don't bring up a quote from a SX podium interview referring to a 17 year old and please don't argue semantics and language conversions. Pourcel did beat all the "kids" in literal terms. He finished second behind a grown man in Trey Canard. 20 years of age in American society is an adult.

Really good rider, a tad full of himself. He was his own worst enemy. Last year and the year before. It may not have been intentional, but it appeared other riders were able to get into his head really easy.

I think he wasn't having fun, yeah he loves racing motocross but the fans and the way some americans (barcia) race isn't very appreciateable, do you think Pourcel wants to keep risking another catastrophic injury due to another rider? (not because of him but by a "wildchild" racer)
