Why did the Pulp show thread get deleted??  ML, was this you or the member who started it?

I sure hope it didn't get taken down for some criticizing Feld and MX Sports but maybe I missed something??

Got it.  There wasn't anything I saw that was remotely out of line, but maybe to got that way.

Overall, I thought the interview was great.  I do wish some of those things brought up by Steve and Cade would change, but so much positive has happened it's cool to see where the sport is heading.

When did it go up? Last night or earlier yesterday?

IMO the sport is in a very good place right now. There is room to refine, but the SMX series as a whole is pretty good!

Perhaps OP deleted it.

I feel like I check this place far too often but I don't even remember seeing what you're talking about? This is the only thread I remember seeing and it just had no traction.

There is a certain user on here that posts late at night, clearly drunk, and then deletes his posts in the morning. Maybe it was another case of that? Grinning

I'm guessing the person who started it also deleted it because I have no idea what he's talking about.

I think yesterday. It was not out of hand, just discussion about the Pulp show and the interview with Cotter etc.

It was just discussion about the Monday show, specifically Feld and MX Sports, 250 class points, tuff blocks, whoops, SMX etc etc

Yea I saw thread. Was just saying it was a good show.

Say what you will about Steve, but he brought up all the rants he and others had with those guys, and props to them for taking it on and their transparency. Cool to see the sport working together.

As a whole the sport is in a great spot. Corporate enough and still accessible to the working man and racer. With a bit more polish, like Mattress brought up , it’ll be as a healthy as it ever been. Imo

I think Steve did great, he seemed to cover all his usual rant topics.  All while being respectful IMO...   Was a good listen!

Legit question with 18 losers who downvoted it.  Probably the same losers who complain every week about the broadcast, the announcing, the podium interviews, Haiden Deegan, the camera guy, the flaggers, the AMA penalties, that 4 strokes are killing the sport, and are always saying that if the sport wants to grow it needs to change.

So where is the sport heading?

Since those loser's won't answer because they have small brains and would rather downvote like the monkey's they are, I'll answer:

Sport is doing great with all access media coverrage.  We have more coverage of the sport through pree-race coverage, post-race coverage, interviews, podcasts, this forum, and riders themselves like the Deegans, the Lawrences, Sexton, and others have youtube channels with great content.

The sport is also stepping up and looking way more like a professional sport should: TV packages, race pits with semi-trucks, and fan interaction.   Think back to the days when box vans were parked in muddy pits with bikes on milk crates, and privateers balln it out of trucks (Guy Cooper did it out of van at one point).  As much as I missed those days of my childhood, with growth, comes change and loss.

New series have been added to add to the fan experience. Both good and bad since it adds more races to the schedule, but say what you want about SMX; everyone will tune in to watch it because it's an exciting 3 series, big money match up. Go Haiden!

New tech both in bikes and athletes.  Bikes are more tech than ever before and with mapping, teams can get a good look at just what the bike and rider are doing, and where to make improvements.  Training has also been a big foucus; top athletes like Jett, Chase, and Deegan can all have spealized training dialed in just for them.

Where the sport needs change in my opinion: Too expensive at the local level if you want yourself or your child to be competitive.  The rich kids have an advantage because they can afford the bikes, training, traveling, etc. It's why someone like Jerry Robin's amateur success on a 1985 CR250 was so liked by fans.  The little guy had a chance wit nothing but a little dedication and the will to succeed.

Second is the schedule.  It needs to be adjusted to give riders more time to rest and reset.  How they can do that, I don't know because it will probably require taking races away to lighten the schedule.  With the $$ these promoters make that likely won't happen, which is why there has been a declining interest in the MXoN (Kawasaki won't do the race any longer, which puts them in the loser category on my Venn diagram of losers).

There is some good directions the sport has gone, but there are also some changes that need to be made.

971, dude you're continually stuck in the same mode that has resulted in the down votes that you constantly complain about.

No matter what you post, IF you start out by saying .. "Since those loser's won't answer because they have small brains and would rather downvote like the monkey's they are, I'll answer:" How do you think someone is going to respond to this kinda thing?

In what world would you expect to gain anything other than down votes and less than friendly replies when you too often start a post out by insulting folks?  I've said this before but you just keep on antagonizing everyone, why not just cool your jets for awhile and try to come across as being less confrontational at the drop of a hat?  Also, no doubt you're a Deegs fan and that's cool, but ALWAYS coming across so strongly on any Deegs related thread isn't doing yourself or Deegs any favors as your antagonistic approach to ALWAYS defend whatever he does comes across as being a bit... fanatical.
