The 2 big reasons I see value in purchasing ad space vs posting in the forum:
1. Spotlight and presentation, gets your company attention in a sea of noise with polished presentation.
^That's assuming banner and popup ad space. Vital could/does also sell naming rights to features they produce, ex MotoXXX Pit Bits from Buds Creek.
Maybe the could charge more for ads if they had better targeting software or got creative with the click throughs. Just speculation, I have no idea.
2. Control the narrative. In the forum it opens a discussion that may or may not be beneficial.
The could also build integrity into their family of sponsors. The idea is if the audience sees a VitalMX sponsor they know it's a company that has been vetted and offers high quality products. (the EKS Brand debacle has kind of killed this for now)

Duffe is probably a great mechanic but I’ve never seen a mechanic glaze harder than that dude. Every one of their videos he’s bragging about P1 qualifying or he’s saying the exact opposite that qualifying doesn’t matter and making excuses when he’s not P1. Something about the dude is goofy. I guess all the YouTube has made him go influencer mode. I laughed when he wrote 5x champion on the pitboard at Budds Creek. None of us are counting SMX in the count except NBC. Nothing wrong with supporting your rider but he sounds more like his girlfriend than his mechanic.

Honestly, I’d give this one the benefit of the doubt. It doesn’t read like spam to me—it’s relevant to the sport and the video, and the guy just seems proud that his brand is being repped by a championship mechanic. It’s different from someone dropping random links with no connection to motocross
Think making a post saying he’s pumped Duff is wearing his merch is perfectly fine. Adding the link blurs the line some. Believe if people were truly interested they would’ve found hiw to buy the merch anyhow but at least this way his post keeps getting bumped to the top so it’s a win win fir him

This place is getting worse than Instagram and FB (sorry ML). People have completely lost self awareness and integrity. I know I have said dumb things, we all have, but not as a sport.
I am getting to the point of not reading the forum anymore, I just graze headlines and walk away. I miss the BL, Hillbilly, (etc.) days where people thought before hitting the submit button. Using those two as wildcat examples, but still had an ounce of self awareness.

What's with the hate on this guy? Haiden had some bike issues? We don't even know if he touches the engine internals, but by all accounts from brayton and craig, they thought he was great.

Goose's bike in 2011 ran out of fuel, and wouldn't start , yet nobody blamed him for those races that pretty much cost Dungey the title.. Bit of a double standard.
It's because DFF does the same classless shit as Donger and The Princess. He's got a few more followers on Instagram and, like the girl he is, it's gone to his pea brained head. He needs to realise he's just the parts changer and umbrella holder and STFU.
