Yesterday was Yamaha presentation in Holland. Interesting rumor there from someone in the know: Gifting tested the factory bike and declined.

So we could understand why Renaux actually wants to leave the team...

Sounds like Gajser has done a Prado 😄.

"2 wheels and handlebars, how hard can it be" 😂

Declined as in the bike is shit, or due different options which where on the table?

Iceone makes way more sense. Isak is still young, a very straightforward guy and super hard worker and isn’t a guy who complaints a lot.

Somebody who fit perfectly in the profile of Antti. Question is will they drop Jonass for him or maybe put a 3rd bike on the line?

Interesting times for sure..

Yamaha wanted to give him more support in upcoming GPs and possibly next year. But he said his JK Bike is better, more stable... After testing he said he doesn't need something from them, he's ok with JK Set-up.

Kawasaki will by the way stay with the same riders.

Did Iceone gave him a offer?

In my opinion, JK with some more Yamaha support is the best place for him. He has freedom and made quite a bit of progress in the past years over there.

Gifting should chase the best salary offer from a supported team and not go for a factory ride. It wont be fun in the factory team when you score 1 point in arnhem

Yeah it’s not looking good for Yamaha at the moment. Would be nice if 243 can turn some stuff around, but that won’t look nice for the current riders if that happens.

This. I bet if you went and spoke to Vlaanderen if he would rather have the factory Yamaha or his old Gebben bike he would choose Gebben. The Yamaha team is not the place to go IMO.

Also I believe you will see the same Kawasaki team as this year.

He will leave. Signed with Ducati, Ducati will have 3 bikes next year. Seewer, Renaux and Bonacorsi.

Yamaha will be Gajser and Calvin

DV said a few times ("DV talks moto" show) that from his view, the factory YZF 450 settings were just "horrible" this year...

Stoked for Bonacorsi! He deserves a decent paycheck!

And a decent bike. I doubt he will find that with the Ducati team.

...probably netting more money with JK then Corvers offered him as well...

Riders talk, mechanics talk, they all know the situation at factory Yamaha motocross in Europe at the moment...

People can down vote Brent, but let me tell you this story: a while back I heard from a mechanic that got instead of his pay, one of the bikes the team bought after leasing them from Yamaha. That means he needed to sell that bike to get the money to pay his bills. Don't think that is normal.

So tou’re saying they basically are running out of money? I don’t know, they ran a very successful team in mx2, why can’t they figure it out in mx1? And with the rumours of Renaux leaving? Did he test the ‘26 model?

That’s the first time I hear stuff like that, Hans doesn’t seems like he’s out of money.

Mechanics from Yamaha getting bikes at the end of the year is nothing new. I think it actually started at Wilvo, I know some guys in VHR last year also got it. It´s just part of the deal they make, maybe they get a bit less money montly and at the end of the year they get a bike. But there are also mechanics that didn´t want this option, get paid more montly and dont get a bike

People downvote because there’s always this cryptic talk on this board like everyone is an insider and should know what’s going on, yet nothing is really ever said. “I know something you guys don’t, btw I heard it from an unnamed random source so you just got to believe it”

Any news for '26 about some big name emx250 riders who had a disaster season?

Like van Erp, Osterhagen, Bruce, Werner?

Will we see them in mx2?

Why is Gajser leaving HRC for Ducati? 243 and that HRC bike is a world championship contender.

Forgive me for asking but I have not been through the 103 pages of this thread.

It's part of the "game". Don't take it too seriously.

Thanks Mucktub. I saw that about 8 pages back.

It appears that contract negotiations turned sour at HRC because Tim wanted a lot more money than HRC was prepared to offer.

Wonder what Yamaha put on the table for Tim?

Actually HRC wanted to pay him less than what he is getting now, because on the last 3 years he didn´t win. 2023 injury, 2024 lost for prado, 2025 injury

I feel bad for Tim and had he not got injured by that silly crash he'd be well in his way to another championship.
