He went from battling Webb to battling Harrison by the end of the season. I was shocked he was battling Webb, I don’t even know what to think about him battling Harrison. He can say whatever he wants, but damn he shit the bed this year. If he’s that damn good, he could’ve did something in 22 motos. I want to see him go to KTM next year and get the same ass whopping he got this year just for being that disrespectful to the guys who paid him a ton of money to come over here. Orrr Kawi should do everything they can to keep him in his contract and then really give him the cold shoulder for the next year or two. Really make him steer with the rear RV style all next year, fuck em 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Prado continues to be an enigma.
There seems to be plenty of people delighting in his failure, but I'm not one of them, I think it's a bit sad for all involved, and confusing as hell.
Even if everything he's saying is 100% true, he certainly sucks at reading the room and taking some accountability.
I'd rather see Prado and Kawi find some success together, rather than walk away, but it doesn't look likely any time soon!
Back in January, if someone said Prado would end up 6th overall in his rookie Pro Motocross season and as the top Kawasaki rider, most people would’ve called that a solid result. He’s been uncomfortable all year and didn’t hit the hype, sure — but he still beat most of the gate every weekend. For a “struggle season,” thats actually not a bad result. There are a lot of others that should take a hard look at how he still beat them
Cries half the season that the bike was a dog without any power, then later says he felt unsafe on it so had to cruise around?
I don't know about you, but I can't imagine a situation where I was just cruising around because I felt unsafe attempting to push, but simultaneously wanted a lot more power applied to the chassis.

I'd be interested if he rode a stock revalved bike with a vortex ecu and nothing else if there would be a difference. Just to see if the factory bike is THAT much different.
I do remember Roczen on the RCH Suzuki supposedly being a couple seconds faster in testing on a stock bike, which ultimately lead to him running stock triple clamps for a long time.
I was really rooting for Prado to challenge Jett and then defending him to a certain degree, but man this is getting wild.
And to the guys saying why didn't Kawi fire him? I'm sure they wish they could. They'd probably pack his bags for him, but they have a contract. I mean, why isn't someone in his camp stepping in to talk sense to him?
another thing i was thinking... when reed started helping him i was like this is the blind leading the blind. one prima donna leading another lmfao.
Prado telling Kawi that this looks like a Kawi lol
Team Kawasaki has a history of not accepting rider input.
I also could have been a national champ, but I ended up signing with Factory Kawasaki and never made a single main. What a shame I wasted my prime.. 🤣
They also have a big history of winners and champions and usually if you’re their number one guy you’re good. Prado was their number 1 guy this year. With what Prado showed this year, I think he just came up with whatever excuse cuz Jett and the boys were just too damn fast. I couldn’t imagine Chase or Eli going over to the MXGPs next year ona different brand bike and doing what Prado did this year. Let alone the excuses.
He beat a bunch of guys that weren’t racing.
I wonder if the Chase buzz all season didn’t sit well with him? He went from being the number one guy at Kawi with all of these massive life changes, to the future teammate of an SX/MX champ in pretty quick turn this year. Just a thought. Idk what to think anymore. Just wish the guy would give us all what we were hoping for.
Correction: he beat a bunch of guys who either crashed out or quit due to illness.
Mookie crashed out?
Chase as since admitted the Honda wasn't as bad as he let on... I can't recall what interview that was in
Their last champion Eli, left Kawasaki...
https://247aroundtheworld.co.uk/racer-x-elis-dad-john-tomac-exposes-secrete-why-eli-tomac-left-kawasaki-to-yamaha-on-interview/
I do think he could have tryed to keep the ”safe speed” a bit longer in the motos, a bit more effort.
I will smirk a bit tough when Chase will act in maybe a less severe but similar way next year, we will see.
KTM let Chase use KYB fork inserts ffs, something like that wont happen with KAW.
Hope Jorge stays in the us, on a austrian bike.
This reminds me of someone saying “with all due respect” and then saying whatever they want afterward
Pit Row
well... as a few said Kaw isn't too flexible with the bike. Tomac, Villo... etc had said similar comments.
It will be interesting to see if he does stay in the US and lands on a KTM/ husky/gasgas... what his results will be. What if he's right there in the mix on one of those bikes?
Something tells me his time at KAW is ending so we all may soon get to find out.
When it comes down to it, It's all on him. He chose to sign with Kawi after riding the bike.....
American fans LOVE to pile on foreigners the moment there's a hint of trouble or issue etc etc.
I'm in the minority here but I get what he's trying to say. He's been on a certain brand and style of bike his entire career, and the Kawi is just so completely different that he couldn't gel with it and him and that bike just don't go together. I hope he goes back to KTM next year and does well, I feel he's still yet to show his potential in the States. I typically root for foreigners in the US series and I hope he turns it around.
Super pumped that I can see literal Prado ads in a Prado thread.
A long history Larry Ward was a team green kid around 2000 he struggled & yrs later said the bikes where real bad & they wouldn’t listen to make changes the rider needed. He beat Stew in 03 on a stock 250f with a pipe , so he had speed yet. John Dowd was a top 3 guy not on the kx tho. Yogi never did anything on them either . He would’ve been better on a stock bike but corporate would never let that happen. Funny every page has a Prado Fox add. Everyone is talking more about his bike . Better advertising because it’s free. More than Honda & there winning both classes . 3 yrs from now Kawi could hv the best bike , so you hv to play your cards right . But not really if Prado can win they,d hire him back . Like nothing ever happened.
It will be interesting to see how Chase goes on the Kawasaki.
Yeah seriously, im not the typical American fan for a lot of things... I wish prado well in all his future racing endeavors.
You would think people on these forum would know the frame difference's between mxgp's and ama's outdoors regulation's and such. This whole thing is a damn nothing burger and a whole lot of lack of common sense. Guy finished 6th OA in 450s his first time outdoors over here.
I thought the whole goal was to finish top 10 in either series, but apparently people are slighted by the way he did it? idk. i cant with these people.
Haha I noticed it too.

Hombre put this bike on the SX podium this year and led many laps. Chase will be just fine.
Yaa that’s cool but it still doesn’t give George a reason on why he sucked so bad this year lol
Hate to beat a dead horse but even since then, Anderson won 8x on that team, 15-20 podiums, tons of heat race wins. The bike is fine.
Post a reply to: Jorge Prado "It was a very tough season to say the least. Cruising around every single race..."
