I didn't realize that this was in another country, I didn't watch the whole video.

For the clown that compares owning a gun to allowing a 6 yr old to jump a friggin tractor...... well glad you are happy with your laws, ours do fine here. I also agree with the comparison that I wear my seat belt but don't like at all that its' law.

I don't like laws that inhibit freedoms. However carless and reckless activity in this manner will bring on laws. My kids both ride, and race. But with that said it has enough dangers doing simple riding let alone this bullsht jump metal ramp stuff.

I had a mother tell me with all the sincereness in the whole that "i won't let my son race mx because it is way to dangerous, but I like the freestyle contests they are much safer"

I about fell over. Needless to say her kids are not riding anymore, and it's a shame, but it's scary what uninformed people believe.........

I think its totally dumb.

What would happen if the big end on that kx60 gave way 10ft out from the ramp?

Way too much white trash in the sport.

The kids dad screaming "you let off too soon!"
Vital guys screaming "I'll call CYS!"

white trash all around.

Let idiots be idiots and mind your own business.
There's nothing wrong with being an idiot, unless your idiocy places someone else in unreasonable danger......

The equipment in the gap is far from reasonable, period. I can't imagine any rational person debating that.

You ever go to a local MX race and see a lot of kids walking around in casts?

I'm not condoning what these parents are doing, I'm just saying on the high risk meter of sports, MX has to be close to the top. I mean if our kids were playing golf, we'd have much more room to talk.

I agree, but then again I'm one of those dads that will drive away from a track that we drove 3 hours to get to if they are mixing big bikes with small, if the obstacles have changed and look way too difficult for my sons' skill levels, etc. The sport is inherently dangerous enough that it doesn't need any added risks.

Everyone has their own barometer of how much risk they are willing to expose their children to, and I have no doubt some of my neighbors wouldn't agree with where I set my level, but I again I think there are things that rational people would almost always agree on. Probably not a good idea to have a 6yo juggling chain saws, but juggling baseballs seems pretty reasonable to me. Jumping 50-60' might seem crazy to some parents, but throw in the vehicles in the gap and it would seem obviously crazy for almost any sane person, especially a parent.

One look at the crash video where the kid comes up a little short makes you wonder just how a parent could throw the tractor and such in there.

The clown knew the hand gun argument will get the pot stirred...

Why is it acceptable for Vital members to be judge and jury and say whats right and wrong in Australia for a 6 yr. old. kid ? but when a Canadian says whats right and wrong with Americans I am a kook ?

is it because people are out of their comfort zone because it's freestyle ?

I have watch a few videos of this kid now and can see he has some idea of what hes doing.
He pulled off a bunch of times when he feels he can t do it for whatever reason.
So shows he just not hanging on and eyes closed.
I just cant believe he can do this and take his arm off too at 6 years old

I wouldn't let my kid do this (if he could) but it is amazing to see.

The kid crashes in another video, so I think its safe to say the dad would let him jump it without the skills to do so
