Outdoors 2025: Biggest Surprises and Busts

The privateer that lead a Cal. Race boosted the series . The Euro riders another boost,  Haarup improving every race .  Biggest shocker is the WMX race speed .

Good list. I'd take Hunter out of the surprise column and Vialle out of the bust along with Forkner. Vialle should stick around imho and Forkner isn't supposed to be setting the world on fire. I think they both could have a great 2026. The 3rd group is dead nuts.

Surprise

Hampshire

Bust

The entire 250 class. I get that Haiden might be “generational”, but I also think this is one of the weakest 250 fields we’ve ever seen

How about inconsistent? Haiden and Shimoda are literally the only consistent performers. Maybe Marchbanks, but his shit starts keep him invisible until the last 10 minutes.

Surprise: RJ! The Euros! WMX! Maybe Seth being this fast outdoors… And that Forkner is even riding!

Bust: Most of the factory 250 field except Deegan and Jo of course. And Jorge, fkn hell… whats up?! So maybe i should say Factory Kawi for not solving this?

Jo will sweep everything 250 in 2026 (is he staying with Honda?)

I agree. This was a very unimpressive 250 class apart from Deegan and Jo at the tail end of the season. As for the others, terrible consistency from riders that are on top teams and have been in the class a long time.

Have you ever posted anything positive on here ? Or do you just enjoy trying to ruffle feathers to get reactions ?

There's positive content in the very post you're referring to. At any rate rather than commenting on me personally why don't you engage with the opinion in the post? Do you disagree with the claim the 250 class, apart from Deegan and Shimoda, is unimpressive, and wildly inconsistent?

i feel like this 450 season was just a watered down version of Jetts rookie season..

- Jett comes in to the season doubted
- Jett dominating.
- Sexton showing speed to match Jett but often throwing it away or blaming his bike which leads to ending his season early.
- 3rd best rider shows consistency and speed, but just off the pace (was AP7, now Hunter)
- Sexton looks to change bikes in hope to remove all his issues.

Dilan Schwartz speed has been very good. Needs a start up front.

2) J. Martin

Not sure how you have Hunter as Surprise. Won motos last year and was second overall. Almost wins SMX. Has a solid SX. Seems to track that he would be up front in MX.

I think J-Mart has to be the biggest surprise. Especially after how he started the season. Pretty wild.

Prode easily the biggest Bust in my opinion.
