Why not give this kid a proper 450? He has passed over 170 riders this outdoor season. Anyone that follows knows his size hinders his starts, yet he continues to pass top notch riders late in the moto. Give the dude a proper 450 ride and let him eat outdoors. Yes I know his issues when he was young , hell what is he 23? Fitness is spot on, art of passing check, able to dig deep check. Give him a 450!!! I think he would open eyes, battle with RJ or better?
Triumph should’ve took a shot on him with their 450 imo.
If Kawasaki was smart they would tell Prado to take a hike and hire Marchbanks for the 450 spot next to Chase
He’s got the grit that Prado is missing.
This, no downside.... He's not expected to be the number one guy and would make the most of the ride.
He was a Team Green guy forever coming up, I think he would fit right in.

Seems like he's really grown up as well and would be a great rep form the brand. What's the downside? Bump him up and give Enzo his spot on the 250
The kid is an absolute warrior and a stud. But he is just a flat out shitty starter. He was on the 450 as well. I don't see his starts changing much even with more horsepower.
Marchbanks is in a good spot for a great overall finish in the 250 outdoors.
However, how cool would it be if Kawasaki bumped him to the 450's for Budd's for our entertainment to see how he stacks up vs Prado.
c'mon, he would kill prado....not even close at this point.
One works his way forward till the end, and the other works his way back.
I agree with you 100%
Marchbanks is a larger rider than most. Would be interesting to see a comparison of all the 250 riders weights. That in itself hinders his launch/start. I would think a move to the 450 would benefit him immensely. Seems to be one of the few riders who races the entire moto.
Is it me or has Garrett reinvented himself this year??
Charging to the front always and getting the most passing points. Also, I have noticed that at nationals press day he is whipping his bike hard on all the videos and I wasn't expecting that from him. It's great the reputation he's building for himself.
Getting fired from 2 rides will wake you up quick. Good for him and working to get better. Like mentioned above. Would love to see him take prado's ride next year.
He got that 🐶 in him
He’s always been good, but he’s definitely surprised me this outdoor season. I would’ve thought he would’ve had more motos like Masterpool or Adams. It makes me wonder how much better the PC 250 is then the Club bike, outdoors at least because Garrett didn’t do jack on a ClubMx 250 outdoors when he did race one.
I could care less how he stacks up against Prado. He's riding his butt off, and he was absolutely stoked to be on the podium.
One of the teams needs to sign him for a 450 ride. Maybe 1 more year of 250, then 450. He's earned it in my opinion.
Can PC give him a 450?
Yeah, he should be on a 4 Fiddy. Big fan. Hardcore is he.
Pretty sure he did ride a club 450?
Pit Row
Yes that didn’t go particularly well but I think he was dealing with health issues/injuries that year, ankle or maybe thumb.
He got a outdoor moto podium and qualified in the top 20 for smx. Not bad to me.
He didn't ride a 250 for ClubMX...
They are talking about Marchbanks.
Because he wants a 250 title. I think the last time he was asked about just going 450 full time he said he “still has unfinished business in the 250 class.”
Obviously...the thread is Marchbanks...he rode a 450 outdoors for Club...
I was talking about Marchbanks, he rode the first two nationals in ‘23 on a ClubMx 250 and his results were:
He rode the first 2 on a 250 for Club and it went horrible so they threw him on a 450, that was in ‘23. Last year he rode started outdoors on a 450 for them and then ended on a PC 250. So ya I wonder how much better the Pc bike is outdoors then the ClubMx 250 for Marchbanks to be that much better on it.
He raced all of SX on a ClubMX 250…
That business will likely stay unfinished, sorry to say.
