He wasn´t able to start it again, and it can also seem like he lost fwd momentum heading into the turn, not just the front tire that slid out...?

That speed-wheelie just before passing Febvre was a little bit like old days Tomac/RV aggression!
He looked like he lost forward momentum in the first race too when he didn't do a jump and Gajser hit him.
Absolutely gutted for Gifting... But I'm definitely a fan after this. Great GP

Looked like front wheel stopped rotating also?
I thought he just pushed the front in the silty dirt. Not much to pivot against and he was giving 110%. Probably damaged his throttle side in the crash. Like Gajser in M1.
What a heartbreak in front of his home crowd, the fuel thing seems plausible because it wouldn't refire, but I figure they'd be prepared for that.
What was up with Gifting in the first moto? Looked like he went from right to left and back right. Gajser jumped right into him.
New Gifting fan for sure, what an animal! His front wheel definitely was stopped when he hit the ground... Such a bummer, he had that moto in the bag!
BTW, what a beautiful place for a track, huge crowd too 👍
His front wheel most likely stopped in the crash because the lever was against the ground, but the bike not restarting may be telling.
That was insane.

Incredible race, but I think he just crashed. His rear tire was still spinning when his bike was laying on the ground. He just lost the front. Bummer for sure.
When he tucked the front going over the rut the front brake lever got smashed into the dirt.
Been a fan of his al year. Dude does not give way to anyone. He races everyone the same. Was so bummed he crashed. That moto win was his, Favre had thrown in the towel and accepted 2nd.

Believe it or not, the JK Racing team has their semi parked right by my local burger van RIGHT NOW. They actually came out to order at the same time I was there so naturally I talked to them about it.
The bike was fine, Gifting crashed on his own. The start motor broke so thats why he couldnt get back going.
The did absolutely not sound gutted about it. They were sooo pumped that he did what he did. Extremely friendly guys to talk to.
Gifting won even though he didn’t win. 😎
Thanks for the info! Both sad and sorry for them, but they are probably more than happy with all the attention they got. Hope to see them up there again!

Just charged to hard downhill, when he compressed the bike in ruts at bottom and hit a hole in rut and back wheel just bounce out of rut causing him wash out

A lot of the 450 guys weren't getting over that step from the inside, from Gajser's on board it looked like he moved over after Gajser had committed , just a racing thing, i would expect Gifting was thinking nobody else was jumping it either.
