Dakota Alix testing the KTM 150 for F/C

Edited Date/Time 1/27/2012 10:57am
Dakota looks to be flat out flying on the 150. It's got to be so much easier for these mini prodigies to hop on the big bike 2 strokes instead of the 4 strokes while getting acclimated to the big bikes. From the looks of this video Dakota is transitioning well off the minis.

I now plenty of kids that came off 85's and made the transition to the 250F's just fine. A few are local Colorado experts now too. This argument holds no water. They learned all they needed to on their 2 strokes.

I never said they couldn't make the transition.. I just simply stated it would be an easier transition to a 125-150cc 2 stroke.

Why? All of these kids need to get on the 250F if they are going anywhere.

I agree but a lot of them (especially at Dakotas age) start their big bike experience on the ol' 125 in the schoolboy class. Eventually , because they have no choice, they obviously will end up on a 250f.

250Fs are probably easier to transition, but 2-strokes are obviously cooler, more fun, and will make them a better rider IMO. But unfortunately its true, that if they don't get on 4-strokes, nobody will like them. They won't be in the "noticed" club.

Since KTM is getting to be the big player in US moto, what happens when they say they are going to take their toys and go home?Wink

By the way, a red helicopter crashed in Southeast Texas today. True story, on the news even.

Vid sucks. Please repost with unedited version.

Cyg is right. I was racing 80 Expert and 250 Intermediate, that's 250 2 stroke, and Open Intermediate on a CR 500, at 14.
